LONG VOWEL

Roll and Read Games

These long vowel games make a quick, before reading activity
and work well for 2-4 players (see 1 player idea below, too!).

PREP:
*Print the game board of choice.
*Find a die and small playing piece for each player.

PLAY:
*Simply roll a die, move your piece, then read the word you landed on.
*The player who gets to “END” first is the winner.

**Players can play competitively, only allowing the player to keep his
space if he reads the word correctly. Or players can help each other if
the word is read incorrectly.
**1 student can also play by himself, racing two different colored
playing pieces to the finish line.
