2nd Annual r/nightatthedopera Scenario Contest

This contest is dedicated to all the Agents who never made it home from their first night at the opera.

Note: Submissions are now closed. Find submitted scenarios at the end of this document.

/r/nightattheopera is an open table RPG community that utilizes a living world where Delta Green Agents
and Operations take place in the same linear (or non-linear, non-Euclidean) timeline. This allows Agents
to fully experience the horrors the Delta Green RPG has to offer. For more info, check out the intro page
here or come chat with us in Discord here or the Reddit discussion thread here.

In honor of being around for another whole year, running games, ruining agents, and building a
community of Handlers and Agents we’re holding a Scenario Contest.

Contest Rules: First off, no length restriction, go crazy (or don’t, you’re a human being with the ability to
make rational choices, right?). However, scenarios must contain at least three of the following themes or
features.

● Numbers stations
● The 1980s
● Ghosts of Delta Green's Past
● Creatures from American folklore
● Lovecraft Country
● Cold Case
● Where am I?
● A Man Ain't Nothing but his Mind
● 21st Century Conspiracy Theories
● For the love of God, Montresor.
● A March Tech Shell Company
● The End of the World

These features must be integral to the scenario, not just window dressing (For example: An operation
where the agents are dispatched via a numbers station isn’t integral, but an operation where a numbers
station hides important clues is integral.)

We ask that if you playtest your scenario online, that you do it at r/nightattheopera. It’s just a request, not
a demand though. We added flair so you can mark games as contest playtests.

This year we will crown a single winner who will receive a $20 drivethrurpg.com gift card and will be
featured on the Roleplaying Public Radio Podcast. Big thanks to Shane Ivey of Arc Dream and Ross
Payton of RPPR for again sponsoring this contest.

Submissions are due as a google doc to elendil004@gmail.com by 2359 ZULU, 28 February, 2019, and
the winner will be announced on 18 March, 2019 (the anniversary of our first game). Submissions will be
voted on by active members of the community (Anyone who Handled, or Agented in an r/nightattheopera
game in December (`18), January (`19), or February (`19) will be eligible to cast a vote. Voting will run
from 1 March until either it’s finished or 17 march, whichever happens first.

the Handler Resources reflects a username by which they can be found.
