WRITING TASK 2
People in the modern world often prioritize their individual privacy and
hardly desire governmental intervention in their personal businesses.
Although such a view has aroused endless debates among people,
many argue that the interference of the government is inevitable and
beneficial to the increased security on a societal scale. From a personal
standpoint, I completely concur with this notion.
The first rationale for my view is that the intrusion into individual liberties
is far from unacceptable as it aims to guarantee people’s safety and
protect them from potential perils in society. In the current context, a
wide array of disastrous attacks have taken place in many regions
around the world. Under such circumstances, the government should be
under the obligation to take measures in order to promote security and
prevent possible threats from wreaking havoc on people’s lives. For
instance, a vast majority of airports nowadays install modern security
systems to thoroughly scrutinize passengers’ luggage and belongings.
Intrusive as it may seem, this approach helps enhance the safety and
protection from the risks of transporting dangerous materials or even
perilous bombings during flights.
