Question 1

Electric Vehicle (EV)

Question 2

Different types of EVs.

Factors stopping conventional car users (Fuel) switching to an EV.

What can EV production companies do to improve vehicle sales?

Drawbacks of the charging system/ battery.

Actions to improve EVs, its battery and more profitable to user.

Question 3

More profitable and environmentally friendly EVs and how it’s battery life can be
improved to be more suitable for conventional car users.

Question 4

Novel Approach of Improving Battery Performance and Longevity of the Developed
Electrically Assisted Triwheeler Vehicle by Implementing Torque Sensor
Technology. International Journal of Vehicular Technology, 1–16. https://doi-
org.ezproxy.csu.edu.au/10.1155/2017/3757421

This article speaks interesting strategies on how to reduce battery consumption

during the day to day use of the vehicle by adhering different tested mechanisms by
integrating torque sensor technology with the entire electrical system.

org.ezproxy.csu.edu.au/10.1016/j.jclepro.2018.08.209

This article gives an idea of how we can minimize environmental pollution and
recycles the vehicle battery with small cost reduction. It states three-period EV
battery recycle and reuse that reduce raw material consumption.

This article gives an idea on lower priced batteries that can be equipped with EVs to
provide long lasting battery power to run a long journey. They have used different
battery electric vehicles (BEVs) to this collected data and had come up with a BEV
with a 200-mile range and a low-cost battery pack.

Question 5

power transfer systems for roadway powered EVs. IEEE Transactions on Industrial
Electronics, 63(10), 6533-6545.

This article gives an idea about wireless power transfer system for moving EVs
which allows running longer mileage without stopping.

electric vehicle battery modelling: From Lithium-ion toward Lithium–
Sulphur. Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, 56, 1008-1021.

This article reviews a new EV battery modeling via Lithium-Sulphur and how it is
essential for optimal usage of battery. Two main categories are considered: reduced-
order electrochemical models and equivalent circuit models in the said article.
Battery modeling and state-of-charge estimation methods play a vital role in this
area.

electric vehicles. IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology, 24(3), 1036-
1043.

This article gives an idea about minimizing CO 2 emissions on a plug-in hybrid EV by

using on-road power management strategy.

Question 6

At first glance, I thought Careers in IT will be easy and choose that but after trying to
answer question two, I realized that it was hard then decided to choose EV.

It was hard to find journal articles limited to the last three years and searching via
CSU Journal Database made it harder. Finding three references was really hard
since most of the articles were older than three years but I was fortunate enough to
find articles related to my topic using EBSCOhost Database using key terms to the
search query. CARP Test was used to check if the relevant criteria were met. Google
Scholar was used to finding the other remaining references using keywords from the
subtopics. Even though some of the information in the article or entire articles were
irrelevant to my topic, I browse through all of them to see what meets my

requirements the most and use those to get an idea about my topic and relevant
references for my journal entry.
