Ongoing Assessment
Learning Experiences
At the beginning of the class, I gave the students a designated dance spot or dance place and explained the importance and
what it signifies in performing arts. The specialist’s international experience in dance, health and fitness showed to motivate
students to work together to achieve a common goal. With various group sizes, the students learned how to dance with
choreography and how it affects the performances.
The students practiced on stage and experience the difference between classroom setting and performing live.
The students learn how to recognize hand signal by the teacher to guide them with their performance.
Reflections
General Reflections
Using the dance choreography, the students were able to work as group. Although they worked together, their individual
strength was obvious during performances. In the end, assessment had to be varied depending on each other abilities to
adapt to the dance steps, as well as the level of each other’s performances.
