Tell me about your self:

Hi, my name is _____, or Kate, I am 23 y/o from ____. I have been an only child for
a long time now, for my elder brother who has special needs passed away when he was
15 and I was 11 that time.

I am currently waiting for my licensure exam but it keeps on postponing for the
third time. And with that, I have been looking for a source of income to help
lessen the financial burden to my family since I am at the age that should be
working. So at the moment I am a freelance english-filipino translator in
Transperfect since September 2020 but I only work with them for like 1-3 short
projects per month, very freelance, I can even finish a project within 2 hours. And
I also do baking and sell cakes on my free time, both of them help me buy few
things for myself but honestly it is not enough to help my parents pay the bills,
even to feed my self for a month so I felt the need to look for a stable and decent
job which I am inclined to with my degree, and luckily I found HelloRache from
Youtube, and I found out that my senior in college is currently working here so it
boosted my motivation more to have the courage to apply here.

About my past work, the very first job I applied to was Rarejob back in summer of
2019, it was June, where I worked as a freelance ESL Tutor to Japanese business
students, but I only worked there for 2 weeks because I got sick for 2 weeks and
after that we got so busy with our thesis implementation and preparation for our
internship, which I thought I can do both freelance & internship but I was wrong
because we still got classes/review exams during weekends and I have to study for
that every after exhausting duty weekday. So I lost my access to Rarejob after I
guess 6 months of inactivity and I never applied again.

So I finished my studies and internship in April 2020. And while I am waiting for
our board exam review classes for September 2020, I tried looking for freelance job
again. I even tried putting up a Youtube channel but I think it's not for me,
atleast yet, maybe, who knows.

So I landed to my second work with LExcode last July 2020 which was also a
freelance job but I only got 2 projects with them. It was a translation job where I
translated like some chapters in an English Children Book to Filipino. I had fun
doing those because I love the story. Sad thing they never gave me a project again
but that's fine because that time our classes are going to start and I thought I
should prepare.

So there's this freelance job I applied together with Lexcode, but it only notified
that I got in when we are already starting our review classes. So I tried
entertaining them during my free time and thankfully it didn't bother so much time
with my classes. So there goes Transperfect which I am with in present. And I also
got the courage (ain't I full courage) to start a cake business but it did bother
some of my time during classes, together with the anxiety of pandemic, pressure in
review school, and postponment of the board exams, I just got too exhausted with
studying and when this year came I shifted my time to my cake business more, it is
also more like my way of releasing stress, when I do my cakes.

And with the continous uncertainty of the licensure exam, I have decided to apply
here in HelloRache and focus on this career I am undertaking since it is really
promising and I think this is what I am looking for, a job where I can really feel
my degree and where I can learn more about it.
