Topic 1: Uniform
Trường hợp: đối thoại giữa học sinh và cha mẹ hoặc thầy cô.
For uniform:
- Save time, money, don’t need to think about clothes going to school
- Focus on study, no need to care about fashion trends
- Make everyone feel equal, part of a community
- Easy to identify which school
- The pride of the school
Against uniform:
- Not comfortable (chỗ này nên thêm các yếu tô như là về thời tiết)
- Out of fashion, boring, plain
- No sense of personality, unique (thêm 1 câu là: I feel as if we all just look
like the same, like we are being made from the same mold).
- Personal clothing gives you a sense of fashion that you will need in life.
- The need to be different from each other.

Topic 2: Color
Sub 1: Animal that change color.
Trường hợp: 2 ng bạn đg đối thoại về 2 con vật có khả năng đổi màu.
Ex: Person A read or watch a documentary about an animal and introduce it to
person B.
A introduce the animal to B about its color changing ability.
B reacts to A’s intro about the animal and ask if the animal change its color for
another reason.
A answers B question.
B tells A about another animal that B found out that has the same ability
A reacts to B’s intro about the animal and ask if the animal change its color for
another reason.
B answers A question.
End the talk with sentences like: Mother nature is a truly a wonder, I wonder how
it feels to change your color base on your surroundings,…

1 số con vật đổi màu: chameleon, mimic octopus, artic hare, rock ptarmigan,

Sub 2: Painting your house/ bedroom

Trường hợp: A xin B lời khuyên về việc sơn nhà hoặc phòng ngủ
A meet B and ask B for advice on painting.
B ask A what color he is thinking and reacts to A’s initial choice of color and why
they chose it
B responds to A first choice, and present B’s choice as a recommendation and why
they recommend it.
A react to B choice and wonder if it would fit their design and choose another
color and give their reason why.
B agrees with A’s choice and give some more advice on what to decorate with that
color.
A thanks B for the advice, B responds.

Xài them các cụm từ để cho advice: if I were you, in my opinion, if I were in your

Khi chọn màu cuối cùng nên kèm theo đó cái concept để trang trí phòng như:
Pacific blue thì là kiểu đại dương, yellow thì kiểu cánh đồng,…
Topic 3: TDTU courtesy
Trường hợp: 1 sv mỹ nói chuyện với 1 sv việt tdt về tác phong, lịch sự của sv tdtu
American: Free thinking, rarely think about others feeling before they speak, take
pride in their physique, body as they wear clothes that show their skin, is not aware
of Vietnamese’s racial curiosity.
Vietnamese: Think before they talk to not hurt others, wear clothes that follows
school rules and doesn’t show skin, very curious about other race.
Ideas to talk about:
Vietnamese:
-Vietnamese’s racial curiosity: hope that the americans don’t get offend by it
-Greetings: bow to older people
-Clothing: wear clothes that do not show skins too much
-Thoughtfull: think about other’s feeling before talking, sensitive

Americans:
-Vietnamese’s racial curiosity: do not know about it
-Greetings: hug and shake hand
-Clothing: wear clothes that show skins too much
-Thoughtfull: do not think about other’s feeling before talking, free thinking

Topic 4: Game
Trường hợp: 2 người bạn đg nói về 1 trò chơi mà họ mới tìm đc.
2 bên sẽ cùng nhau bàn về các idea của game:

The special things that the game has?
Any special tactics to win the game?
What the game teaches you about?
Nên có các cảm xúc khi bik thông tin game, xài các cụm từ như: this part sounds

WRITING

I/ Write about your favorite gift/ possession.

- Who gave it to you? Ex: mom, dad, friend,…
- On what occasion? Ex: birthday, holiday, trip,…
- What is it made of? Ex: wood, plastic ( nhớ thêm các adjective cho nổi
bật hơn)
- The design of the object? Ex: colors, special designs, decorations,…
- How does it work? ( optional nếu là 1 món vật có cơ chế hoạt động)
- Why is it so special to you? Ex: it’s a family heirloom, the person who
gave it to you is a special,…
- Where it is now? What do you intend to do with it?

II/ Write about a place

- Where is the place? Ex: HCM city, Hanoi,…
- The beauty, special features of the place? Ex: special carvings, special
decorations,...
- Why people love it? Ex: beauty, scenery,…
- Why is it special to you, your city? Ex: history, culture,…
- Would you invite foreigners to visit it?
III/ Write about a trip
- When did you go? Where did you go?
- Who did you go with and why did you go on the trip?
- What did you do on the trip? Ex: eat, swim, surf, ski,…
- Where did you visit? Ex : temple, church,…
- How do you feel after the trip? Do you want to go again?
