“Paulo Freire”

Pedagogy of the Oppressed was written in 1968 by Paulo Freire.

Paulo Freire was born in 1921 in Brazil. He was belong to the middle-class family but after his
father died in the year 1934 he started to experience the experienced that turn him into a very
inspiring and strong man, the experienced that influenced his views especially on education and
the interaction between the social classes in the society especially in his country, the
experienced that inspire him to create his very popular and powerful book – Pedagogy of the
Oppressed.

This book is a huge help and dedicated not only to the oppressed, to the educators, but to all
the people in the society – for them to be awaken, and stop the “culture of silence” and speak
to what is right and to what they deserved.
