Following are the step by step procedure to use the Windows Workspace USB:
Step1) Power on the system on which you want to use Windows Workspace and press Del or F2 or in
some devices F12 to enter the BIOS settings of PC or Laptop:
(Note: The USB port of PC or Laptop should be USB 3.0 otherwise windows workspace will not work.)
Step2) In the BIOS setting of the PC or Laptop chose boot drive order and give first boot priority to
Windows Workspace USB (In our case this is Toshiba):
Step3) Once system boot from USB you will see following screen:
As I have applied the bit locker to the drive to ensure the data protection. It is asking for the password.
Put password ‘Enter@1234’ and press enter key.
Step4) After entering the password your system will boot as a normal windows based system. User
authentication screen will appear. User name is User and password is ‘123’:
Now you are working on your Windows Work Space USB drive. If you want to use this USB drive in some
other Laptop or PC just shut down your system and remove the drive and repeat the Step1 to Step4.
Cautions: As you are using a USB external drive for running complete OS and applications following
things must kept in mind before using the drive:
1) Never insert the USB drive in running PC or Laptop as this is not a normal USB drive now. First
shut down the system and then insert into USB port
2) Similarly when you are working on USB drive and after finishing your work never remove the
drive from running PC otherwise all your data got corrupted. First Shut down the system and
then remove the Windows Workspace USB drive.
3) Always use USB 3.0 compatible System or Laptop.
4) In case of system always use back instead of Front USB ports as these are directly connected
with motherboard of system.
