Gender&Literacy DB.

Because of gender issues, there is a certain connection between women and literacy.

Malala's excerpts are biased towards educational literacy. Because the Taliban restricted the

education of women in this area, bombed girls’ schools, and promulgated laws prohibiting women

from going to school. These make it impossible for local girls to get an education, and the obvious

female literacy rate is getting worse. In Claudia Rankine's article, she talked about Serena Williams

often being treated differently on the court because of her skin color. Mainly because of some

people's aversion to black women, race and gender play a role in prejudice. It can be seen as

community literacy, where people of color are sometimes treated differently in society. When it

comes to issues that reflect cultural values and literacy, we find that the literacy rate of women

around the world is increasing every year. Malala's views are on display. Around the world, more

and more women have the opportunity to go to school. Take and Chinese for example, under the

influence of the elderly, a woman without talent is a virtue. Girls were not taken seriously at first. It

is impossible to eradicate illiteracy. Now more and more girls can receive normal education as well

as boys. The government also regularly conducts programs to establish schools in remote areas so

that these children have access to literacy. This shows that there is a growing need for literacy in

society. More and more attention has been paid to the education of girls.

Religious cultures influence the education of girls through prohibition or violence. So girls

was forced to suspend her studies. In the case of marriage and motherhood, they need to raise their

children, spend their energy on their children, so the literacy journey is interrupted.

One of the factors that continues to threaten the literacy rate of girls around the world, one is

social. Social pressure on women. One example is that some girls in school are treated differently

by their classmates and finally choose to drop out. Social influences continue to have an impact on

girls' literacy rates around the world.

Misogynoir refers to the misogyny of black women, in which both race and gender play a

prejudiced role. It refers to the social prejudice against black women. Serena Williams is a prime
example, often underrated and receiving some undeserved punishment. In gender and literacy

themes, Misogynoir also exists. Black girls are vulnerable to prejudice, which sometimes leads

them to miss out on some of the same literacy opportunities that children of other colors should

have.
