WHAT ARE METABOLIC DISEASES:

Metabolic disease, are diseases or disorders that disrupt

normal metabolism, the process of converting food to energy on a
cellular level. Thousands of enzymes participating in numerous
interdependent metabolic pathways carry out this process.

 Metabolism
Metabolism  is the chemical reactions in the body's cells that
change food into energy. Our bodies need this energy to do
everything from moving to thinking to growing. Specific proteins
in the body control the chemical reactions of metabolism.
TYPES OF METABOLIC DISEASES WHICH ACCURS BY LESS
SLEEP:
Sleep deficiencies associated with insufficient sleep schedules.

 insomnia with short-sleep duration,

 sleep apnea, narcolepsy,
 circadian misalignment,
 night eating syndrome
 sleep-related eating disorder
NOTE: may all contribute to metabolic dysregulation.
WHAT IS BODY MASS INDEX (BMI):
Body mass index is a value derived from the mass and height of a
person. The BMI is defined as the body mass divided by the square of
the body height, and is expressed in units of kg/m², resulting from mass
in kilograms and height in metres.
 BMI Increment:
Adiposity, or having excess body fat, is a growing global threat to
public health. Compared to people with a lean body weight,
individuals with higher BMI have an elevated risk of developing
life-shortening cardiometabolic diseases, such as diabetes, heart
attack, and stroke.
WHAT MAY CAUSE BMI INCREMENT:
Observational studies revealed cross-sectional associations between
getting fewer than six hours sleep and increased body mass index (BMI)
or obesity. The studies revealed how signals from the brain which
control appetite regulation are impacted by
experimental sleep restriction.
