Remember:The use of Passive voice is used with the Present or Past tense of the
verb to be. Present of theverb to Be. I am, you are, he is, she is, it is, you
are, we are, they are Past – Tense
Was = I, he, she, it,
Were =you, we, they. Passive voice + Past Participle,
Past Participle: in the third line of the list of the verbs,
Example: Active voice =you buy bread
Passive voice = Bread is bought by you

Example in: Active voice - He bought bread

Past: Passive voice – Bread was bought by him

In the case of Present Perfect you have to use have been or has been+
Participle of the verb
In the case of future you can use Will be + Participle, in the case of going to
you can use in going to be + Participle or are go in to be + Participle
1) Change the following sentences into passive voice,

• We have written the poem lately

The poem has written lately

• She wrote the novel in the class

The novel was written

• They give a short test for preparing to the exam

A short test is given for preparing to the test

• I am going to paint the house

The house is going to be painted

• He will read the book twice

The book will be read twice

• The students are going to sing a song

A song is going to be sung by the students

• They have sent a lot of messages

 A lot of messages have been sent

• The cat ate a piece of bread yesterday

A piece of bread was eaten

a piece of bread was eaten by the cat yesterday?

2) Translate these exercises into English and change into passive

voice

• Nosotros hemos trabajado en el proyecto mucho

The project has been worked a lot

• Ella comerá sushi con sus amigos

The sushi will be eaten

• É l va a comprar verduras para el almuerzo

• Los amigos trajeron medicamentos para el colegio

• Los niñ os compran pan para sus amigos

3) Write a paragraph in 10 lines choose among these two theme

• Would you like to be a President???

• What would you like to Study in the future? You can write in simple
Present, Simple Past, and Future.
