MY LAST HOLIDAY

I’m going to tell you about my last holiday. It was in September last year and it
lasted 2 very nice and exciting weeks. Because we used to go in a few favorite destinations,
for that vacation we chose to book a package holiday in nearest area.
First, we searched on internet some holiday accommodation for our next
destination. It isn’t so difficult, because the offers were many.
After that we called the travel agency for more information about several known
places. They recommended some popular place in our country. We ask about facilities of the
different resorts which are located nearest of the sea shore/coast line.
We were very pleased to hear about an interesting nearby resort which is located
near in a spectacular place, at one’s of the Danube branch, in the eastern of Tulcea county.
Finely, we decided from their offer, and we accepted it, but not before reading the
online reviews. The resort has great references.
We booked on line and for that we set the check-in and check-out dates. The site
mentioned that the package holiday facilities didn’t include the transport and local taxes.
To the destination, we went by car and by speed boat, too. We traveled almost 300
km by car and almost 75 Km by ferry. The resort was fully booked during our stay.
The resort had facilities that includes: air conditioning, satellite TV, refrigerator,
mini bar and personal safe. The room had two people bed, so it was a twin room, indeed.
Because of the resort is located on the ones of the Danube mouths we were in the
heart of Danube Delta by boat. We went sightseeing, had a great time on the channels, we
had a good time for fishing and we saw a lot of/plenty of wild birds. The main attraction was
the new eastern island which grew next to the line coast. It is the newest Romanian land
where is the bird s paradise. For that, we needed for a local guide. If you go to Danube Delta,
it’s definitely worth visiting the riverine wild environment, because the area is packed with
migratory birds, vast expanses of marshes and reeds, stretched lakes and narrow channels,
where it is a lot of white and yellow water lilies. There we eat a lot of fish cooked in many
recipes. We listened country music every evening. Daily, we walked from village to the
beach through the sand with bare tooth. The beach is wild, still untouched by the impact of
civilization. In the last day, we had a look round the village. We saw local houses and their
beautiful gardens.
In the end, I can mention that the vacation was wonderful because of the local
traditions and unique environment. Therefore, there you can really feel the return to nature.
Nevertheless, I am expecting to return in that place soon, next holidays maybe, why
not?
