“Manufactured on Shared Equipment” should be indicated for products that have a significant potential of cross-
contamination on shared equipment with the allergen listed.
“Present in Facility” should be indicated for products that may be produced or stored with the allergen listed.
General Exemptions Include the Following:
1. Refined, bleached, and deodorized oils from any of the food allergens and their derivatives (e.g. hydrogenated
soybean oil)
2. Enzymes produced by a fermentation process where soy, wheat or milk protein containing material is used as a
source of protein in the enzyme-producing microorganism.
3. Cultures grown in a media containing soy, wheat or milk protein as a source of protein.
