BENEFICIAL TRAITS OF

MORINGA OLEIFERA
LEAVES IN HEALING
WOUNDS
ABSTRACT
This study aims to know what is the beneficial traits of Moringa
Oleifera leaves especially in healing wounds. This project is an
expirement to prove the study. The result of the said experiment it
is proven that applying moringa oleifera in the wound can help the
healing process of the body rapidly with the help of the given
table. It shows the days and compassion of the experiment
performed about how many days does a wound heal with and
without moringa oleifera as a medicine applied.
In conclusion, on the data collected and interpreted putting
moringa oleifera help the wound heal in such a short-time, because
it’s leaves contain a substance like ethyl acetate fraction that help
wound healing activity.
BACKGROUND
Moringa oleifera or also known as drumsticks tree or what we
called “MALUNGGAY” is a fast-growing, drought resistant tree of
the moringa oleifera.
Many research study prove that moringa has a many beneficial
traits but this study focuses on beneficial trait of moringa oleifera
leaves in healing wounds. This study tries to help students, teacher
and parents and even researcher to know, understand and to have
a better background about how long moringa oleifera can heal a
wound in human body as well as its beneficial traits. As well, we
know that moringa oleifera can be found everywhere ad it can be

consider as traditional medicine in a very cheap price as well as it

can help heal diseases with its healthy and helpful substance.
OBJECTIVES
 This study aims to know the beneficial traits of moringa
oleifera leaves in healing wounds.
 This study also aims to know how long does moringa
oleifera leaves can heal a wound.
HYPOTHESIS
If moringa oleifera can help trait wound putting this aqueous
extract such as ethyl acetate fraction, then putting it in the wound
help it to heal faster than the normal healing range of a human
body. This plant helps significantly increased the wound breaking
strength in incision wound model the aqueous extract treated
wounds were found to epithelize faster and the rate of wound
contraction was significantly increased as compared to control
wounds.

SIGNIFICANCE
This study will help to understand and to know the beneficial
traits of moringa oleifera in healing wounds as well as to know
how long does moringa oleifera leaves can heal a wound.

Benefiting the study are the various sector as follows:

To students
This research study helps students to gain knowledge about
moriga oleifera. This research also helps them in their future
research as this study as their guide especially students conducting
their research studies.
To Teachers
This study is beneficial to teachers and in education especially
for those teachers who wants to know more about this plant for
he/she may teach to his/her future students.
To Parents
This study benefit parents to know about moriga oleifera can
help in healing wounds and to have knowledge what are its
beneficial traits when it comes in healing wounds.
To Researchers
This study can help researchers in their future research study.

METHODLOGY
Experiment was made to a person has a small wound on his
hand to prove the hypothesis. We put moringa oleifera leaves on
the affected part of the body and observe how long will the wound
heal and record it to compare in normal healing range of the body
with the same level of degree of the wound.

CONCLUSION
Base on the data collected and interpreted, putting a moringa
oleifera help the wound heal in such a short day for its leaves have
a substance or beneficial traits that can help the wound help.

RECOMMENDATION
This study may improve in such a way that it can be more
helpful in future readers and receivers. The result of this study was
interpreted by thoughts/recommends to elaborate it more in
collecting the data.
