EXAMPLE
During the pandemic, social media platforms
have played an important role in
communicating with people. Government
officials can use social media to spread
information about COVID-19 and distribute
safety guidelines and protocols. They
constantly post about guidelines and updates
in our country and the local community.
As technology advances, we can use it to our
advantage during this pandemic to track the
number of new cases, negative and positive
citizens, and deaths. Local Government
officials also remind their people through
social media such as Facebook and Twitter
pages.
Minors should limit their time outside due to
the pandemic in order to prevent the virus
from spreading. Department of Education has
also changed the setting of learning to online
to reduce contact with other people. Students
are able to learn subjects taught in school
while remaining indoors. The same goes for
adults who are advised to work from home.
This was made possible by the development
and innovation of communication platforms
like Google Meetings, Zoom and etc.
Safety guidelines and protocols such as
curfews, enhanced community quarantine,
and 14 day-quarantine have been
implemented by Government Officials in order
to reduce the risk of transmission and further
spread of the virus.

Strengthen disaster preparedness for
effective response at all levels
Government Officials manage a
covid-positive patient by putting them in
quarantine. They also conduct contact tracing
to reduce to risk of spreading the virus.
