1. Production Description
The Mars1417V is a wireless X-ray flat panel detector based on amorphous silicon thin
film transistor technology. It provides high quality radiographic images with 2304 x 2800
active pixel matrices and a pixel size of 150um. The Mars1417V's biggest improvement is
the ability to support wireless communication between the detector and the workstation, as
well as battery-powered, making it truly portable.
2. Installation Requirement
2.1 Environment
This product needs to be used within the specified temperature and humidity range:

and store it in the specified storage environment.

4. Installation
4.1 Panel Installation

4.1.1 Attach Battery Pack
The Mars1417V can be powered by DC power or battery. When the battery is plugged in
or the DC power is plugged in, the detector will start immediately. If neither the battery
nor the DC power is plugged in, the Mars1417V will shut down. See the following for
battery installation of the detector.
 Make sure that the connectors on the
battery package are pointed to the cave in
battery compartment.

4.1.2 Attach DC Power

4.2 Battery Charger Installation

 Unload Battery from battery charger.
 Insert battery into battery charger.

 Note the interface position as figure.
 Press the battery to the bottom of battery

compartment.
4.2.1 Battery activation

To ensure the safety of the battery during transportation or storage, the battery can be set
to a transport mode in which the battery is locked without voltage output. Therefore, you
need to exit the transport mode before using the battery for the first time.
 Two ways to enter the transport mode

 Power the detector with an adapter, the detector is turned on, and
connected to the PC;
Web write  Insert the battery into the battery compartment;
 Type “http://192.168.8.8/cgi-bin/shipmode.cgi?action=on” into the
web to put the battery into transport mode.
 Three ways to exit the transport mode
Unlock mode Step
Web unlock  Power the detector with an adapter, the detector is turned on, and
connected to the PC;
 Insert the battery into the battery compartment;
 Type “http://192.168.8.8/cgi-bin/shipmode.cgi?action=off” on the
web to bring the battery out of transport mode.
Adapter +  Power the detector with an adapter and turn the detector on;
FPD  Insert the battery into the battery compartment;
 Press the power button for about 4 seconds to turn off the detector;
 In the off state, press the power button 3 times to activate the battery.
battery  Power on the charger;
charger  Insert the battery into the charger and complete the battery activation
in about 3~5 seconds.
4.3 System requirement

iDetector is developed and deployed on Windows Operation System, it can be run on
Windows XP/Windows 7/Windows 8/Windows 10, OS should install latest service pack.
And requires computer memory 4 GB minimum. Firewall should be shut down to avoid

commuication issue.
4.3.1 Environment setup
Setup files and download url are included in Software Development Kit(hereafter refers as
SDK) directory: Tools\env_setup.
1. Please install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5(Windows XP only can install V4.0 ).
Download from Microsoft web site, please.
2. Visual C++ redistributed package need to be installed: vcredist_x86_2013(or
vcredist_x64_vs2013).
3. For Windows XP, full path should be used in file “bind.txt”.
4.4 Connection Mode

Mars1417V supports two connection modes as follows, the IP address and other
information mentioned below is as the example, user should configure the connection with
the specific requirement.
1) Wireless Client Mode

To establish a connection between the workstation and the tablet, the user should follow
the steps below.
4.4.1 Wireless Client Mode
To complete Wireless Client mode configuration, user has to finish actions listed below.

Configuration of detector
Either Wired Cable can be used to configure detector in wireless client mode. The wired connection should be used
by the service operator only.
To start configuration with wired cable. It is necessary to finish the configuration of external wireless AP, then
proceed to the steps below.

To start wired cable configuration, users should finish the configuration of external
wireless AP, then proceed to the steps below.

4.5. Trigger mode switching

The Mars1417V is mainly used to acquire X-ray images. The acquisition of the detector
should be synchronized with the X-ray generator. The Mars1417V itself has three ways to
get X-ray images: software mode, inner2 mode and FreeSync mode.
The customer can switch the trigger mode according to the requirements. When switching
the mode, the corresponding parameters must be modified to ensure that the tablet can
work normally. The parameters that need to be modified corresponding to different trigger
modes are as follows:

For example:
If the customer needs to switch the trigger mode to FreeSync, please follow the steps
below (see the figure below):
1. Connect the flat panel detector according to the flat panel connection mode described in
section 4.4, and go to the Acquire interface to remove all calibration modes.
2. Enter the Detector interface of the IDetector software and select the Parameters
interface under the Detector interface to modify the related parameters.
3. Modify the relevant parameters according to the above table;

4. Click the "write" button on the right to save the modified parameters.
5. Correction and Calibration Template Generation
After the installation is complete or the DR system is re-adjusted, it is recommended that

the user perform a calibration template generation. In addition, we recommend that users
update the calibration template every six months.
5.1 Pre-offset Template Generation
The detector is configured for pre-correction mode and the pre-correction template must
be generated.

5.3 Defect Correction Template Generation

Before Defect template generating, make sure SID1.2m, no copper is required, the GUI of
software maybe different with the below figures.

2. Make sure your x ray dose is right, if your dose is out of the range, iDetector will
remind you to adjust the dose. Then you can click “start creating” and try again.
3. If users operate with two panels, SDK has a probability of quit automatically.

5.4 Image Check and upload

“OPEN” provides two features for image check and uploading. Local Image Check, Panel
Image Upload. Local Image Check defines function to check image saved in Workstation.
Panel Image Upload defines function to upload images stored in panel.
5.4.1 Local Image Check
