- It is a type of document that is provided by the manufacturer to
the operator for the maintenance of the aircraft.
- The forms and contents of the documents sometimes vary from
one manufacturer into another.

2. Regulatory Document
- The regulatory documents pertain to the rules and regulations
issued by the authority most common are FAA and EASA.
- This includes all applications, registrations, licenses,
authorizations, approvals (including all Regulatory Approvals),
all correspondence submitted to or received from Regulatory
Authorities.
- Regulatory Documents contains the ff:
1. Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
2. Advisory Circulars (ACs)
3. Airworthiness Directives (ADs)
4. Notice Of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM)

3. Airline Generated Document


- Airline Generated Documents , this type of documents includes
all flight records, maintenance records, historical records,
modification records, overhaul records, manuals, logbooks,
authorizations, drawings and data relating to the Airframe, any
Engine, or any Part, or that are required by the FAA to be created
and must be maintained due to the maintenance and/or
operation of the Aircraft.

There are two sorts of airline generated documents:

1.Controlled Documents

- Controlled documents are documents used for flying


machine operation and/or support in accordance with FAA
regulations.
- Controlled documents have a restricted transport inside the
carrier and require standard updates, as well as a list of
corrections, dynamic and revoked page numbers in the
record.
- Have limited distribution within the airline and require
regular revisions and must include a list of revisions, active
and rescinded page numbers in document.

2. Uncontrolled Documents

- Uncontrolled documents ,this type of airline generated


document is provided by the carrier and the producer. In
short it is furnished by the airline and manufacturer.

Airline generated documents are composed of the ff:

1. Operation Specification (Ops Specs)


2. Technical Policies and Procedures manuals (TPPM)
3. Inspection Manual
4. Quality Assurance Manual (QA)
5. Reliability Program Manual
6. Minimum Equipment List (MEL)

4. ATA Document Standard

- The Air Transport Association (ATA) standardized the overall


format of all the maintenance manuals so that all manufacturer’s
documents would be compatible.

ATA 100:
- ATA chapters (sometimes called "ATA 100 System Codes") are a
way of categorizing the various systems that are on a plane.
- These codes are designed to help understand the different
systems or system types on aircraft and their sub systems in
every assigned chapter number.
- ATA Coding Systems are uniform for all models and types of
aircrafts, and all aircraft manufacturers use the same coding
system.
