El Presidente

(reflection paper)

Numerous ages have passed by and there were loads of historical events that occurred. The
sacrifices and sufferings were being made to guarantee the freedom of the Filipino public. Be that as it
may, for what reason did our kindred kinsmen, let themselves be gulped by their avarice? For what reason
do such killings should be done perniciously?

Creating a historical film is consistently an extreme undertaking. What makes it significantly

more challenging is its subject turns out to be a questionable figure ever. What's more, one of these is the
El Presidente which became one of the entries in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2012 coordinated by
Mark Meily. He makes a story focusing on Emilio Aguinaldo, the principal leader of the First Philippine
Republic. This general, legislator, and progressive pioneer carried on with a long, horrid, and productive
life from the hour of the Philippines' insurgency contrary to the Spanish frontier rule to the Americans and
Japanese.

The story addresses the progressive experiences, just as the various issues that occurred during
Aguinaldo's time. It likewise investigates his inward battles as a spouse, a leader in the war, and a
government official. It flaunts a fabulous creation featured by refined cinematography and set pieces. This
movie has different lessons that are imparted to us. With that, I've realized that there were so many trials
and circumstances they've faced, many people sacrificed their lives fighting for freedom against traitors
and for those unreliable persons on that event. Before we got our freedom there was great suffering that
they have experienced; blood shred and many died. The movie El Presidente is an interesting movie
because it shows me a lot about how our Filipino heroes are so courageous in fighting for our freedom
against all the colonies of Spanish, Americans, and Japanese.

In this manner, being a genuine Filipino should participate in making approaches to lift up our
own country not to drag others down or being driven by abundance and force just to deny others. But in
such a case that we are going to choose to put somebody to fall due to narrow-mindedness, we're actually
similar to beasts in our own territory. Regardless of those struggles we have confronted, we should
invigorate ourselves and help flourish in the country we are living in; on the grounds that toward the day's
end, we are the ones in particular who will uphold one another.
