Explain the advantages and disadvantages of the following types of Survey:

1. Mail and Self-Administered Questionnaires

The advantage of Mail and Self-Administered Questionnaires is that you can directly mail or
give them to the respondents, if it’s possible that the respondents you should tell the
respondents about how these questionnaires do and don’ts, you should give the respondents
an instruction to answer the questionnaires that you have given or mailed to them.
The disadvantage about this type of survey is that some others respondents they do not
finish these types of survey and if you also email it to them, they might also forget they have
to answer the questionnaires. Some of them might respond late or even more they did not
respond to the questionnaires that you give to them.

2. Telephone Interviews
The advantages and disadvantages of Telephone interviews that you can just ask a question,
and you will record the answers of the respondents. Some respondents are in the home or
work. But this type of survey is just too expensive because you will pay for the bills to the
telephone and electricity. Some of the respondents might don’t have telephone and they are
not answering the telephone calls, some of respondents have background noises, getting
annoyed, and some might not be serious about the questions you asked to them.

3. Face-to-Face Interviews
The advantages and disadvantages of Face-to-Face interviews are that you have a lot of
respondents in your area like in school you can just ask them a question and the respondents
will answer your questions, you can ask any questions to them prior to your questionnaires
and this type of survey is also an expensive because you need to travel, supervisor to your
interviewing, your personal expenses, and some face-to-face question have some sensitive
questions if you asked a random respondents that they will not answer the questions
because it might be offensive to them.

4. Web Surveys
The advantages and disadvantages of Web Surveys are the easiest survey. You use the web
sites to the respondents for an easy question and you can also give other respondents
another questionnaire. This type of survey is too easy to access. But there are some issues
to this survey because of them are adult that can use computer or some respondents don’t
have computer or internet. They are types of errors in this survey because some respondents
answer the questionnaires completely and after that the questionnaires are not answered, it
is the implementations of the technical difficulties on the websites that you have used to. The
others website you use might have many advertisements this might give the respondents an
issue because they might click the ads or the ads gives attention to the respondents and it
might not finish the questions.
