Learning Competencies and Objectives
Differentiate asexual from sexual reproduction in terms of
1. number of individuals involved
2. similarities of offspring to parents

At the end of the module, you should be able to:

ELICIT MATERIALS
The teacher will show several picture of organisms and let the
students identify the number/s of parents needed to reproduce an Illustration of organisms
offspring.
ENGAGE
The teacher will help the students examine the pictures of
organisms which undergoes asexual and sexual reproduction.
The teacher will ask the students’ idea about why this organisms
differ in numbers of parents to reproduce an offspring.

EXPLORE
The teaher will group the class into five. Each group will have
their designated learning areas that offers different topic
that they will observe and examine.

Every after 3 minutes they will proceed to the next learning


areas until they finished visiting all the areas.

EXPLAIN
Each group shall have designated speaker to present their
observation in the first area that they visited.

LESSON STUDY IN EARTH SCIENCE 1


The teacher will assist the learners in the presentation. The
teacher will give the correct scientific term for every needed
observation.
The teacher will test the learners discovery if they really
understand the lesson.
ELABORATE
The teacher will turn all the learners’ discovery into
knowledge.
The teacher will give a short activity to check if they really
understand the topic.
EVALUATE
The teacher will prepare a formative assessment to assess the
students’ progress and understanding.
EXTEND
Apart from the given examples, the learners will look for other
organisms that undergoes asexual and sexual reproduction and
illustrate it creatively.
