to you and write a sentence discussing your observation about them.

Poverty Crime Infectious Disease Inequality Overpopulation

Divorce Abortion Climate change Educational System Deforestation

Bullying Waste Disposal Drug Abuse Corruption

Social Issue Observation related to the issue

Bullying Bullying has been a common issue whether it be inside
the school or outside. It can also be seen on the
internet. It is everywhere no matter the age or gender.
Bullying can affect the mental, physical and emotional
state of a person. It can cause stress, depression,
insecurities and more. Some people care less of what
they say to other people not knowing their words are
like knives. Not everyone can go through it like
nothing happened. Some keep it to themselves until
they are in an unstable state.

Abortion Despite advances in reproductive health law, many

Filipino women experience unintended pregnancies,
and because abortion is highly stigmatized in the
country, many who seek abortion undergo unsafe
procedures.
Many women in the Philippines are unable to achieve
their desired family size and have more children than
they want. Unintended pregnancy is common, in part
because of the high unmet need for contraception.
The Philippine government has made efforts to
improve access to contraceptive services, but abortion
is illegal under all circumstances and is thus highly
stigmatized. Nonetheless, abortion is common, but is
often performed in unsanitary conditions and using
outdated techniques.
Unsafe abortion carries significant risks for Filipino
women: About 1,000 die each year from abortion
complications, which contributes to the nation’s high
maternal mortality ratio. Tens of thousands of women
are hospitalized each year for complications from
unsafe abortion.
Poor women, rural women and young women are
particularly likely to experience unintended pregnancy
and to seek abortion under unsafe conditions.
Because of the risks of unsafe abortion, many women
need postabortion care, but they face barriers in
obtaining such care, including the stigma around
abortion and the high cost of medical care.
Policymakers and government agencies should
educate the public about contraception, ensure
adequate funding for contraceptive services and
eliminate barriers to obtaining methods, particularly
among disadvantaged populations. To help
destigmatize postabortion care, the government
should train more providers in the use of safer and
less invasive methods of care.
Poverty Poverty in the Philippines is more persistent than in
other countries in Southeast Asia.
Over a third of the rural inhabitants in the Philippines
are impoverished. Indigenous people residing in these
areas experience higher rates of illiteracy,
unemployment and poverty. A lack of access to
productive capital and limited market access has
created slow economic growth and
underemployment. The rural poor have limited
options for off-farm employment and low access to
inexpensive financial services.
The majority of poor Filipino households have only
achieved basic levels of education. At least two-thirds
of poor households are headed by an individual with
an elementary level education or below. Additionally,
most poor families have minimal access to health and
education services.
Four out of 10 poor families in urban areas do not
have decent living conditions. Most of the poor
households in urban areas reside as informal
settlements in slum areas of major cities like Manila.
These homes do not include proper facilities and also
are bad for the environment. These settlers typically
move to major cities from other provinces in search of
better economic opportunity and livelihood.
Overpopulation Overpopulation in the Philippines is a nightmare.
Starting from the crowded streets, from the super
crowded Metro rail that squeezes passengers like a
sardines, to the long lines of job vacancies.
Overpopulation maybe a problem but it can have
important purposes because a country's most
important resources is it people. At times of war, the
people is useful but it will require more resources to
support it.
Overpopulation in the Philippines is nothing new. For
many long years, it has been disregarded by the
people and the government But now that they feel the
grudge of the effects of overpopulation, there will be
slight chance of change. But I think it will stay that way
forever unless the Filipinos (especially the church) stop
interpreting the RH Law as "killing machine". It's
exactly the other way around because the RH Law will
surely benefit us and our country the relief of the hard
life especially those who are in the low-class of the
society.
Overpopulation – such an alarming issue in our
beloved country. How awful to think that most of us
disregarded this thing. For me, overpopulation is the
only cause why this country suffers from economic
crisis, unemployment, informal settlers, insufficient
supply of foods, high rates criminal cases and the
reason why citizens of this country are forced to work
abroad. It is very sad to say that if this issue wouldn't
be resolved, citizen or Filipinos will suffer twice or
maybe thrice as they suffer now in the near future.
Lastly, the most tearful part of it if overpopulation
wasn't prioritize first is that; you’ll never hear the
Filipinos to say “It’s more fun in the Philippines” again.
Educational System Though a Philippine Constitution has stipulated that
the government dedicate the largest share of its
administration to education, the Philippines continues
to be one of ASEAN's lowest budget allocations.
Also, there is a significant difference in educational
attainment among distinct socioeconomic classes.
Socioeconomically disadvantaged kids, often known as
students from high and low-income poverty-stricken
households, have much higher dropout rates in
primary school. Furthermore, the majority of
freshman students at the tertiary level come from
reasonably well-off households.
