1.1 webApp & webUI

SM_CPU866e supports two web-based tools for maintenance and monitoring:

• webApp: Embedded webserver interface for monitoring, maintenance & diagnostics of the
RTU. Using the configuration defined in Easergy Builder and loaded on the CPU, the user can
consult and / or change some parameters through webApp. Unlike Easergy Builder and webUI,
webApp does NOT allow to add new features (and / or screens). It can only change the
information previously included through Easergy Builder using the screens already defined in
the tool.

• webUI: Web-based graphical substation user interface. This tool is composed by two different
environments, one for design-time and another for run-time:
o webUI (Runtime): Web tool running in the RTU allowing to monitor the information
using screens which were designed by the user with Easergy Builder (webUI Add-
On).
o webUI (Add-On): Additional tool included in Easergy Builder for creation and addition
of customized webUI screens. It allows to design new screens for the configuration
loaded into the RTU or to modify the information in those screens already loaded into
the RTU.

1.2 Accessing webUI

webUI is accessible through a compatible web browser running in an OS Windows 7® or higher.

The most common browsers (Firefox and Chrome) support this tool, although only versions
supporting HTML5.
