GENERAL RULES

1. English is the only medium of communication online.


2. The only means of communication is done via the teacher's Lorma e-mail
and phone number. Students need to introduce themselves (Name,
Course, Year and Section) when sending a message, especially for SMS
and if using personal email.
3. All instructions, notifications and details about/for the subject are only
announced in Google Classroom.
4. No one can give access to join the Google Classroom to anyone without
notifying me, anyone who violates this rule is subjected to a deduction of
half the total CS score. (If for monitoring purposes everything should be
communicated to me)
5. Everyone is required to attend synchronous online discussion via Google
Meet every Tuesday for MTW schedule and Friday for ThF/S schedule.
(Attendance will be part of your CS)
6. During synchronous online learning, students are required to present
themselves (open camera) and should be in a decent manner wearing
decent clothes, and in a decent background.
7. Every semester, there are three major examinations: Prelim, Midterm and
Final Examination. A passing score of each major examination is a must
to pass the subject.
8. Eating during synchronous online learning is allowed, only if done in a
discreet manner.
9. Attendance is automatically checked by google meet attendance; on the
other hand, during asynchronous online learning, attendance will be
checked through commenting the time you have read the post. A student
is marked present during asynchronous online learning if he/she is able
to comment not later than 12midnight.
10. Students are not allowed to use the teacher as a reason for coming in the
campus unless it is greatly needed.
11. Clarifications about any instruction or with regards to grades is only
entertained via e-mail (primary) or text message (as a follow-up)
12. Re-computation of grades is only entertained once the student had
observed any miscalculation in his/her grade uploaded online. This is
done once the student has done his/her part of computing the term
grade.
13. If the Instructor is not yet online 5 minutes after a scheduled synchronous
online learning without giving any notification, all students are expected
to use the time for recreation and other forms.
14. During synchronous online learning, students are required to take down
notes important details. No notes are handed, as students are expected
to pay attention and practice self-learning.
15. Every scheduled examination, all students are expected to be online at
least 15 minutes before the class schedule (this is for students who wish
to take it on schedule but exam can be taken anytime once it's already
posted). Students need to finish the exam before the due date otherwise
the form will close. Perceived problems in the internet connection should
be discussed before the scheduled exam otherwise, dealt with
accordingly.
16. Anyone caught sharing answers, activities & any information given in the
class with the other classes is subjected to a deduction of half the
accumulated CS scores of the students in the class (for the term).
17. Respect is a must inside the classroom. All students are expected to be
courteous when talking to anyone online. When you disagree with
someone, you should express your differing opinion in a respectful and
non- critical way.
18. All students are expected to comment/ make posts that are on topic and
within the scope of the course material.
19. All students are expected to read all messages in a thread before
replying.
20. All students are only allowed to discuss anything class related via e-mail,
text or phone calls (not beyond 9PM) anytime but without the expectation
that the teacher will respond immediately. Concern/s or message/s will
be entertained during the consultation hours or when the teacher is
available to reply.

SUBMISSION OF REQUIREMENTS
1. Late submission of requirements without notifying the instructor
beforehand is subjected to a deduction of 20% of the accumulated score of
the said activity/ies.
2. Requirements, activities, projects and the likes are expected to be
submitted in Google Classroom and the instructor is not held liable for
requirements submitted elsewhere.
3. Plagiarism is very much discouraged. Anyone who would copy the words
of others without citation/acknowledgement will not be given any points.
4. Posting or sharing any inappropriate material online, in association with
the subject is strictly prohibited. Anyone who violates this rule is subjected to
a deduction of 20% of the total CS Term.

GROUNDS FOR A FAILING FINAL GRAD


1. Noncompliance with the requirements
2. No major exam/s
3. Failing scores for the activities and failing exam.
4. Anyone seen bashing Instructors online is subjected to a Failing Grade and
the case will be forwarded to DOSA.
5. Taking pictures, recording the synchronous online learning and distributing
any class materials without the Instructor knowing is subjected to a
disciplinary action handled by the DOSA and will be given a Failing Grade.
6. If there is a concern, you approach the instructor (FIRST), if it is not yet
settled, a counsel of the DEAN of CES is sought. If it is not yet settled, the
concern should be raised to the DIRECTOR OF THE SCHOOL not the other
way around. Those who will not follow this procedure is subjected to a Failing
Grade.

OTHERS
1. (Synchronous Online Discussion)This is discussion done via Google Meet
or other platforms that cater video conferences. This is done at least 1 hr. a
week for a 3-unit class.
2. (Asynchronous Online Discussion) This are discussions done in
documents, PowerPoint presentations, video recorded, and audio recorded
lectures attached on Google Classroom.
3. (NPE) No Prelim Exam
4. (NME) No Midterm Exam
5. (NFE) No Final Exam
6. (INC) INCOMPLETE (student missed an activity/ies)
7. (NC) No Credit (the student did not comply, did not continue the subject)
