HIS-101:Bangladesh History and Culture
First of all , I would like to express my thankfulness to you, Prof. Ashit Boran Paul,sir PhD

(ABP1) a great professor, for your wonderful lessons in the class. His lecture delivery was

awesome also sometimes video of historical places helps us understand the lecture fruitful in the

class . I also want to thank Asit sir so much for his kindness and great assistance to me. Thank

you for showing me that emotion and rationality work best when we are in harmony.

There are many historical changes and continuity that have shaped Bangladesh today, and this

course helps me comprehend them. it's anticipated that by the end of the course, students would

be more aware of the rich history, culture and legacy of the nation and will be more curious

about it. the value and relevance of history as a bridge between the past, the present, and the

future should also be understood. In this course, Ii  learned about Bangladesh's culture and

legacy from ancient times to the present. We use the phrase "culture and heritage" in order to
encompass many different aspects of Bangladesh that are crucial to understanding the country.

Among these include land and other people ; politics; economics; government; society; religion;

art; and culture; as well as global relations; and the environment. Each of the major topics will be

explored from the perspective of historical evolution and contemporary.ThGeographical features;

and archaeological evidence. [Origin of the term ‘Bengal’ and its people and Era of ancient

Historical Geographical unit- Janapadas- Gauda, Vanga, Samatata, Harikela, Pundra and

Varendra]. & Important Archaeological Sites of ancient Bangladesh-Wari-Bateshwar-the

locations of Gangaridai Kingdom, Mahasthangarh, Paharpur, Sitakot Vihar and Bharat Bhaina.1.

Important Archaeological Sites of South-East Bangladesh. Important Archaeological Sites of

Sonargaon; Rajshahi; Bagerhat; Barobazar and Dhaka. Aryan Civilization and Invasion theory.

Major ruling dynasties in northern India and Bengal: early kingdoms, the Maurya,

Gupta, Pala, Rata, Chandra, Deva, Khadgda, Varman and Sena dynasties. Sultani rule out

medieval Bengal: Key features of the Sultani rule and its leadership, especially maintaining the

Overall , I can state that in this semester fro the courses i learn lot of things about past to present

history and culture of Bangladesh . These course helps me lot.
