FINALS ACTIVITY 3

1. What are the things you usually do or post online?

The things that I usually post online is photos. Captured moments with my self, together with my
family, friends, relatives and all the people whom I have been with. I am not really into posting
plain texts because I find it seemingly boring. Imagine scrolling on social media that has no
picture at all, it’s dull, unexciting, and I don’t want to have that kind of timeline.

2. Why are the reasons behind why you post the things you post? (What are the points you
consider in choosing what to post?)

I chose to post some of my best photos that show smiling faces and victories to somehow share
to everybody happiness, positivity, and inspiration that someday, somehow they will experience
what I have experienced too. May the photo that I shared to them will serve as one of their
inspiration to achieve much more than that in God’s perfect time.

3. What do you expect whenever you post something?

It is expected to encounter different types of people in social media. There are smart people,
mediocre, supportive, and the type of person that will never go down from the list are the
faultfinder people. These are the people that look for your mistakes, judge you even though they
do not know you very well but in our society today, it is normal. It is normal and is expected to
receive judgments from anybody and I think that’s okay. That is totally fine. Each and every one
of us has to say. We have different perspective and goals in life. Maybe they say something to
me because for them, it is not appropriate but for me, it is. So, definitely the judgements that I
expected coming from anybody would never affect me because that is their business, not mine.

4. How do you feel when your posts receive a lot of (positive) reactions and/or when there
are few reactions?

When I post something online and it gained a lot of positive comments and reactions, I would
feel blessed. Knowing that virtually there are still people who believes, supports, and love me in
anything I do. When I also get few reactions and comments, I would not feel bad about it. I
believe that online reactions are not generally the basis of how important I am and maybe I got
few reactions because mostly of my friends were not online or just busy.
5. Screenshot a post you made in a social media which garnered the most likes or reactions
and attach it here. Is it reflective of the real you?

This definitely reflect my real self as an individual and as a girl who turned to be a fine young
lady. The photo captures how I smile at everyone despite of struggling from wearing the itchy
gown. At some point, this could relate on how I handle my self. In life, there are a lot of
challenges that comes our way but as for me, I think I handled it like how I handle my self on the
crowd. Smile and think positive always to survive life.

6. What do you think makes a good or responsible netizen (internet user)?

Being a responsible netizen means you need to respect everyone using the internet. It is very
important for us nowadays, because some of us are not using the media right and responsibly.
We must also be careful of what you say and aware of what you are posting because everything
that you post online can put at risk.

Before using social media sites always think, always observe and think the information that
you’ve seen in media if it is true. This will help us to be responsible in gathering the right
information in social media.

Think and see if the information or the media is useful for you. This will help us to be liable in
deciding if you really need the information that you’ve seen in the media.

Always think if the information from the media is informative or just an useless things. This will
help you to use the media to gather reliable information and not just for entertainment and
nonsense things.
Think if it is really needful for you. Always think if you really needed the information before
using it or gathering the information. Don’t use the social media in nonsense things, use it for
information or communication purposes.

These tips are surely help each and every one of us to be a responsible netizen in using media.
Do not abuse the use of social media use it in a right and responsible way. So better watch what
you post in social media. And always remember to “THINK before you click”.
