Sub:- Revision of the rates of Dearness Allowance in respect of


Judicial Officers and Pensioners on 2006 revised NJPC Pay Scale
and teaching staff on 2006 revised AICTE Pay Scale - reg.

PREAMBLE:

In view of the crisis arising out of Covid-19 pandemic, in G.O. dated:


05.05.2020 read at (3) above the State Government as a matter of policy have
issued orders freezing the revision of the rates of dearness allowance of State
Government ernployees including the employees on UGC/ICAR/AICTEAIJPC
Scales of Pay for the period from 01 .01.2020 to 30.06.2021 until further orders. In
GOI O.M. dated: 13.08.2021 read at (a) above orders have been issued enhancing
the dearness allowance rates of central government ernployees who are on 6'n
Central Pay Commission Pay Scales for the period 01.01 .2A20 b 30.06.2021.

Hence. it is considered necessary to revise the dearness allowance rates


in respect of Judicial Officers and pensioners on 2006 NJPC Pay Scales and
serving employees on 2006 Revised AICTE Scales of Pay. Accordingly, the
following orders are issued.

GOVERNMENT ORDER NO. FD 20 SRP 2021


BENGALURU, DATED 19TH AUGUST 2021

Government are pleased to release the additional installments of dearness


allowances in respect of Judicial Officers on 2006 NJPC Scales of Pay and in
respect of serving employees on 2006 Revised AICTE Scales of Pay lbr the period
from 01 .01.2020 to 30.06.2021. Hence, the rates of Dearness Allowance of
employees on 2006 Revised AICTEAIJPC Pay Scales shall be revised from the
exiiting 164(. to l89oh of the 2006 revised basic pay with effect frorn l't July
2421.

2. For the purpose of this order, the term 'Basic Pay' means, the pay drawn by the
Goverrunent servant in the 2006 Revised AICTEAIJPC Pay Scale applicable to the
post held by hirn.

3. Basic Pay shall not include any other emoluments.

4. These orders are not applicable to retired employees on UGC/ICAR/AICTE


Scales of Pay.

5. Government are also pleased to enhance the rates of dearness allowance
payable to the pensioners and family pensioners who were on 2006 NJPC Pay
Scale frorn the existing 1640/o to l89o/o of the Basic Pension/Family Pension with
effect from l't July 2021.

6. The Dearness Allorvance admissible under this order is payable in cash until
further orders.

7. The payrnent on account of Dearness Allowance involving fractions of 50 paise


and above shall be rounded off to the next rupee and tlactions less than 50 paise
shall be ignored.

8. The Deamess Allowance will be shown as a distinct element of rernuneration


and will not be treated as pay for any purpose.
