Subject: Request Letter for Permission to Film Documentary and Research on the
Local History of the Town of Liberty

Dear Mr De Guzman:

My name is James Tang and I’m the leader of the Historia de Camera Committee. We
are a group of historians that are interested to know about the local history of your town,
Liberty. We are specialized in making documentaries and conducting interviews and
studies about remote towns.

The purpose of this letter is to request permission to you and the other members of the
local government of Liberty. We assure you that we will strictly adhere to the town’s
policies as well as only documenting public places without having to invade anyone’s
privacy. The documentary will focus on Liberty as a place with so much history that has
continued to be passed on from generation to generation. We would also like to focus
on the resident’s way of living and livelihood so that it can be known to the other parts of
the country. We have also come up with an idea of using past studies regarding the
history of Liberty and cite them as sources in order to come up with a more diverse
research outcome. We assure you that everything would be done with the government
and residents’ consent. No unnecessary things wil te said or done that may harm the

town and its residents. Hence, I request the authorities to grant permission to document
Liberty and as promised we will abide by your regulations.

In addition, we have also attached our identification cards, business permit, and other
necessary documents for background and legitimacy purposes. We are hoping for your
consideration.
