The ground foundation is the precondition to ensure safe operation of the crane. It is made
of reinforced concrete as shown in fig.4.4-1. Basic requirements are shown as follows:
(1) The ground under the foundation should be solid. The concrete strength grade must not
be less than C35.
(2) The dimension of concrete foundation is L mm×L mm. And its height is 1600mm.

Note: Ph Pv and bending moment M in table4.5-1 are the maximum bending moment load on the
foundation when the tower crane is in service, torque Mn is the maximum torque load on the foundation
when the tower crane is in service.
