My teacher travels all the time. He loves discovering new places. He has traveled to thirty-
five countries and has been on five different continents. He hasn’t been to South America
but he has explored a cave and canoed on a river in Canada. When he was younger, he
lived in Africa. When he was there, he explored a jungle and saw some amazing and
colorful animals that lived there. He has surfed In Hawaii and Australia. He has also dived
near a coral reef in Australia where he swam with a shark that was as big as him. He has
seen lots of different birds. Some of these birds were beautiful and one vulture was almost
as big as him. He has even trekked across a desert in the USA and has been to many of
America’s National Parks. He hasn’t seen Arches National Park, but he has flown in a
helicopter over the Grand Canyon three times. One day, he told the class that his dream
was to walk under a waterfall in New Zealand like his best friend who has done that. We
asked him which was his favorite place in the world. At first, he answered Madrid because
he lives there, but then, he said it was a joke and that his favorite place was Hawaii where
he has been two times already. He added that maybe this will change because there are still
many countries that he hasn’t been to. Maybe next year he will walk on the moon and this
will be his new favorite place.
