ASSIGNMENT (MPPU 1034)

Individual Assignment 1 (15%):

Using your own set (or sets) of appropriate data (comprising of 30 cases or more),
perform analysis using PSPP to explicate your deep understanding on each of the
following parametric / nonparametric tests of means:

1. Comparing means of 2 groups

2. Comparing means of 3 groups or more

What to submit?
For each part of questions, your answer should contain the following (minimum):
a. The research question to be addressed
b. The hypothesis to be tested
c. Brief descriptions of instrument used to gather your data
d. Brief descriptions of the relevant research design
e. Data in PSPP format (with sufficient descriptions - you may use screen capture
to show the data structure and data content).
f. The necessary investigation (or analyses) to check that all the required
assumptions are met (with respect to the test employed).
g. Selected (edited) PSPP output
h. Interpretation of results/output.
