Provident Fund and Pension Nomination

1. Who is considered as being part of an employee’s family in the context of the Employees’ Pension
Scheme?
The term family under Employees’ Pension Scheme covers only employee’s spouse and his/her
children.

2. Who is considered as being part of an employee’s family in the context of the Employees’ Provident
Fund Scheme?

In case of a male employee, the term family covers his wife, his children (irrespective of the children’s
marital status), his dependent parents, and his widowed daughter-in-law and her children.

In case of a female employee, the term family covers her husband, her children (irrespective of their
marital status), her dependent parents, her husband’s dependent parents, and her widowed
daughter-in-law and her children.

3. TCS is my first employer. What do I enter against the Date of Joining EPF Scheme, 1952 and the Date
of Joining EPS Scheme, 1995 fields in Form 2?

If TCS is your first employer, your actual date of joining TCS will be pre-populated in these fields.

4. Prior to being employed with TCS, I was a member of the Provident Fund as well as the Pension
Scheme offered by my previous employer. What do I enter against the Date of Joining EPF Scheme,
1952 and the Date of Joining EPS Scheme, 1995 fields in Form 2?

If you have transferred the provident fund from your previous employer to TCS, enter the date of
joining your previous employer against the Date of Joining EPF Scheme, 1952 and the Date of Joining
EPS Scheme, 1995 fields.

However, if you have withdrawn your provident fund and your pension fund at the time of separation
from your previous employer, your date of joining TCS will be pre-populated in these field.

Gratuity Nomination

1. Who is considered as being part of an employee’s family in the context of the Gratuity Fund?
The term family under Gratuity Act covers employee’s spouse, his/her children, his/her dependent
parents, and his/her widowed daughter-in-law and her children.
2. Who is eligible for the gratuity fund?

All TCS employees are entitled to the payment of gratuity at the time of their separation provided
they have served TCS for a continuous tenure of 5 years.

However, the minimum tenure requirement ceases to be applicable in the event of the
death/disablement of the employee.

3. Can I transfer my gratuity?

No. The gratuity is not transferable, except in the case of Inter Tata Group transfers.

4. There is an option for ‘Witness’ in the Gratuity Nomination Form. Who can be a witness?
Witness can be any individual apart from Self, you can also have your colleague or your HR officer as
a witness.

Superannuation Nomination

1. Who is considered as being part of an employee’s family in the context of the Superannuation Fund?

The term family in the context of the Superannuation Fund covers the employee’s spouse,
dependents, and/or children.

2. Who is eligible for Superannuation benefits?

All TCS India employees in grades C3B and above (and equivalent support grades) are eligible for
Superannuation.

3. Can I transfer my Superannuation Fund with my previous employer to the TCS Superannuation
Fund?

Yes. You can transfer your Superannuation Fund from your previous company to the TCS
Superannuation fund, provided you join TCS in the eligible grades.

Group Life Insurance Nomination

1. Who is considered as being part of an employee’s family in the context of the Group Life Insurance?

The term family in the context of the Group Life Insurance covers employee’s dependents, spouse,
and/or children.

2. Do I need to submit a hard copy of Group Life Insurance Nomination Form on the day of joining?

You are required to submit your nominee details under Group Life Insurance only in the system, hard
copy of this Nomination Form is not required.

Miscellaneous

1. Is it necessary to submit the hard copies of all the Nomination Forms on the day of joining?

Yes, you are required to submit the duly signed hard copy of all the Nomination Forms except Group
Life Insurance Nomination Form on the day of your joining to your ILP Coordinator.

2. I get a blank page when I try to open the PDF on clicking the Print option

To view the PDF follow the below 5 simple steps:

a. Open Adobe Reader and go to Edit -> Accessibility -> Setup Assistant. The Accessibility Setup
Assistant screen opens.
b. Click Next until you reach Screen 5 of the Accessibility Setup Assistant screen.
c. Clear the Display PDF documents in the web browser check box.
d. Click Done.
e. Take a print.

3. The information that is pre-populated in the forms is incorrect. How can I modify the same?

The information that is pre-populated in the forms has been taken from your TCS Application Form
and cannot be edited. In case you wish to make changes to this, please write to ilp.support@tcs.com.

3. Can I edit the Nomination Forms after submitting the same?

You can edit these Forms till your Date of Joining TCS, however, make sure to take a printout of the
latest completed Forms and submit them to the ILP coordinator on your Date of Joining.

4. Do I need to submit fresh nominations following a change in my marital status after joining
TCS?

You are required to submit fresh nominations after a change in your marital status, since the
nominations that you submitted prior to getting married becomes null and void as per the provision
of law. You are therefore required to submit fresh nominations in Ultimatix (TCS Internal Portal) post
joining TCS and submit the duly signed and dated hard copy of the Nominations Forms to the
Corporate Retiral Nominations Team. You may choose to not make any changes to the nomination
details; however, you must re-submit your nominations in Ultimatix and submit a fresh hard copy of
the duly signed and dated Nominations Forms to the Corporate Retiral Nominations Team following
the change in your marital status.
5. Can I manually enter details into the printouts of the Nomination Forms?

No. You cannot make manual corrections or inclusions in the system-generated printouts of the
Nomination Forms.
