1. FREQUENCY
Definition: It is the number of times one should exercise in a week.
Sample scenario: A healthy person exercises three to four times a week and in order to do that,
one must be self-disciplined by having such exercise planner.

2. CONSISITENCY
Definition: Athletes must train with as much regularity as possible.
Sample scenario: Just like a healthy person, one must engaged consistent workouts throughout
a week. It includes the number of exercises per week and the level of performance/activity
done in a week.

3. INTENSITY
Definition: It is defined as the difficulty level or how vigorous an exercise should be.
Sample scenario: An athlete performs extremely light activities during his first week of training.
On the second week of training, he performs the light activities. On the third week of training,
the activities turned hard. From here, the level of difficulty per week increases.

4. SPECIFICITY
Definition: Indicates that you must train specific energy system and specific muscle groups in
order for them to improve.

Sample scenario: Last semester, our PE instructor instructed us to prepare a fitness plan. On the
first week of exercising activity, cardiovascular endurance activities and flexibility activities were
employed. On the second week of exercising activity, muscular strength and muscular
endurance activities were employed. On the third week of exercising activity, the health-related
components in the first week were employed again. So there is a certain and alternate health-
related components to be performed per week in order to train specific energy systems and
improve specific muscle groups.

5. RECUPERATION
Definition: During your recovery period over the following day or so, your body systems will
adapt to this stress and become stronger and more efficient.

Sample scenario: Manny Pacquiao do have a period of rest of about 2 days per week in order to
reduce the chances of having over fatigue. From that 2 days, Manny is inactive to workouting.
