Cardboard Suzuki Hayabusa Chassis

This is one of the hardest instructable I have ever published. I tried to take as many 'in the making' photos as I could. and I
hope that you can learn from this and follow along with me.

Supplies:

cardboard
precision knife
scissors
hot glue gun
Elmers glue
pencil
barbeque skewer

Step 1: The Main Chassis

So the rst thing I must tell you is that it is essential whatever you are making you must have a picture of it. I just googled
a picture of a Suzuki Hayabusa chassis. draw a sketch of the side piece on a piece of cardboard and cut it out. although

we can try our best to make or model realistic cardboard still has many limitations. Next glue them together and put a
strip of cardboard for added rigidity, as shown in the picture.

Step 2: Engine Block

First, cut out the two sides of the engine block and build up the sides then add the other side.

Step 3: Engine Detailing

Then I cut out some circles and other small pieces And, glued them on the side of the engine. Next cut some thin pieces
of cardboard for wiring and connect the tips to the top of the engine. And be sure to look at many photos of motorcycle
engines for insperation.

Step 4: Connect!

Then insert the engine inside of the chassis parts. It is of the utmost importance to make sure everything is symmetrical,
this will a ect the nished product.

Step 5: Front Forks

Next, roll two pieces of brown paper with two smaller brake as shown.
rolls, and lastly, roll a thin strip of brown paper at the
very end. Next, connect them about one-millimeter NOTE:(the templates are just a guide for you to make your

Step 6: Front Fork Details

Now make a thin roll of cardboard and glue it to the top of the forks you already made. Now you can detail it by cutting
out the brakes, and handlebar switches. lastly, you can roll brown paper into a thin wire, and connect one end from the
handlebar. and one to the brakes.

Step 7: Rear Wheel

For the rear wheel roll a half-inch strip of cardboard and let dry. next for the spokes cut out two round discs of cardboard
and on one-half glue some small cardboard as shown. Then glue the second disc on top.

glue the spokes inside the doughnut shape let dry... Now to make a cog cut out a small round disc and cut wedges on the
edge it does not have to be perfect but it should look as uniform as you can get it.

Step 8: Front Wheel

Do the same as the rear wheel except for the cog. instead, cut out a thin doughnut from some thin cardboard and make
an eight-pointed star in the middle as shown in the photo above. now that your wheels are done we can move to the

next step.

Step 9: Connect the Two Parts

Now glue the fork assembly to the body with a roll of brown paper...as shown in the image above.

Step 10: Rear Swing Arm

I have included the templates above. connect them together to make a swingarm as shown. And glue it to the back of
the engine/chassis part as shown.

Step 11: Seat Rest

To make the seat rest cut out a long v shaped piece of cardboard and glue to a rectangular peice of cardboard with a
rectangular hole in it. for the exact angle for the sides I provided reference templates.

Step 12: The Front Part

I don't know what this part is called but we will make it anyway rst cut out a house-like shape and start building it up
and re ning its shape with stacked cardboard pieces. Then as always following the image as closely as possible wire it up
with thin strips of cardboard. and add other small details as shown in image.

Step 13: Connect the Two Parts Together

Now glue the part we made last onto the front of the forks as shown.

Step 14: Spring Suspension

To make the rear suspension, roll a piece of brown paper with a smaller roll inside and wrap it with thin strips of
cardboard as shown. when dry glue it

Step 15: Attach the Wheels

now just glue the wheels in between the rear swing-arm and the front forks.

Step 16: Gas Tank

For the gas tank make a tube of cardboard and cut it diagonally, next reinforce the top with small pieces of cardboard.
And glue on top of the body as shown above.

Step 17: DONE!

now your cardboard model Suzuki Hayabusa is done you can give it as a gift for someone or put it on your shelf for a
