IMPORTANT NOTICE

IN VIEW OF persistent demands of Para Medical Intern students of different

Medical Colleges/Govt. Institutions/Affiliated Private Institutions under
SMFWB expressing their difficulty for non-availability of their staying at
Mess nearing to their Institution and non-availability of Public Transports
etc;

AND IN VIEW of Government of West Bengal Order No. 647-ISS/2M-

22/2020 dated 15-05-2021, issued by the Chief Secretary, Government of
West Bengal, through which it was notified certain restrictions to combat
the Pandemic COVID-19 situation;

AND WHEREAS, movement of all sorts of Public Transports, Local Trains &
Metro Railways, have been stopped except for essential service personnel;

AND NOW, THEREFORE, the Authorities of the State Medical Faculty of

West Bengal after careful consideration of the entire situation caused due to
Pandemic COVID-19 scenario, decided as under:-

a. To inform all the Medical Colleges/Govt. Institutions/Affiliated

Private Institutions to give Clearance Certificate for those
Interns who have completed at least 600 hours of Internship
Training during this period of pandemic situation.

b. State Medical Faculty will issue Diploma Certificate to such

Interns whose Clearance Certificate of 600 hours of Internship
Training would be received from the respective Institutes at the
Faculty Office.

Note-As State Medical Faculty office is presently closed as

informed earlier vide Notification No- 390-F/15-2021 dated-
15-05-2021, and, as it would not be possible to issue original
Diploma Certificates, which would be sent to the respective
institutes subsequently; However, “Provisional Certificate” to
the candidates would be issued through mail on the basis of their
applications supported by completion of 600 hrs of training
certificates issued by their college authorities and scanned copy of
their student registration certificate and final year’s mark sheet.

c. The candidate/s who could not yet complete the said 600 hours
of Internship Training has to complete the deficient period for
getting Clearance Certificate from their Institute either for the
present or later on when the present situation would be over.
Such residual part of training could also be completed by any
candidate from any Medical College/Govt. Institution/Affiliated
Private Institution of SMFWB, located nearest to his/her
residence, as notified earlier vide Notice No- 254-F/15-2021
dated-07-05-2021.

Note-The Interns would be entitled to get stipend at the rate of

Rs. 2000/- per month upto the actual period he/she will undergo
training from their parent institution only.

d. The present decision of SMFWB is taken only considering the

acute COVID-19 Pandemic situation, and, could never be cited
as ‘precedent’ in future.
