E-commerce had a massive boon since 2020.

Already it was on a growth trajectory,

especially in Asia and in Vietnam as the top country to embrace ecommerce will continue
post-COVID.

Organisations will likely continue to invest significantly in technology to support the

work from home model in a safe and secure way. Information and cyber security is one
of the biggest threats in the new world and will continue to get larger. We also see the
continued growth of AI and harnessing data to facilitate better, purpose led decisions.

What this pandemic has shown us is that we do not need one physical location
to effectively run, operate, or work, but we understand that having a gathering
space for our teams does have value. Physical office will evolve from a
necessity to value-add. The challenge for management now is to focus on
strategies that utilise the physical gathering space to enrich and advance their
teams and organisations that compliments sustainable growth.

What has been really great for us, and I am sure for many, is the acceleration of
digitisation at our clients which has also helped us become even more efficient and
productive in the way that we serve our clients’ banking needs. There have also been
multiple opportunities to participate in corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities

Client service now needs to include solutions to meet client’s every changing need –
providing assurance services, helping them to grow and transform, and scaling up on
client connectivity through digitisation to be even more efficient and productive wherever
they are. We should continuously review the entire value chain of customer life cycle –
pre-, during, and post-service – to transcend disruptions.

When most people all over the world were locked inside their houses, we finally
understood the great importance of ̶t̶o̶i̶l̶e̶t̶ ̶p̶a̶p̶e̶r̶ online shopping.
In fact, for a short period of time, online shopping became the only viable option for
purchasing necessities.

Brands with a strong online presence and a powerful ecommerce infrastructure have also
experienced flourishing revenue growth.

Those companies that didn't prioritize the development of their online channels, and
offered limited shopping options, as a result, lost billions of dollars and failed to retain
their customers.
The bottom line is this: the coronavirus pandemic has reshaped the world of business,
drastically shifting the focus towards online shopping as all organizations were forced to
adapt to the new reality.

Ecommerce agencies are constantly keeping up with the latest trends and can
easily optimize your web store to match consumer expectations and implement
the newest technology for a more dynamic and smoother online shopping
experience.

Although stay-at-home mandates mean more people spend more time online,
exercise caution when it comes to investing in growing your digital business.

If yours is a business best-suited to a bricks-and-mortar business, it might be

wiser to split your business plan budget. Include digital or ecommerce options as
well as post-pandemic opportunities for when your customers and clients are
ready to meet face-to-face. When the restrictions are lifted, consumers might be
more than ready to ditch their laptops and leave their homes to go shopping!

Zoom for virtual meetings, Slack for Communication, Dropbox for collaboration

I also expect that as the workforce evolves along with the growth of the gig economy,
embracing and improving baseline understanding of technology and how to use the data
for critical decision making is very important.

is changing how a business interacts with customers and employees using

technology; and also using technology to significantly improve internal
processes, by making them more efficient.

*Invest in digital wisely:

- Employees: applying AI, harness data; upgrading internal network, connectivity, cyber
security

+ Prevent malware and cyber attack

+ Work more efficiently

- Customers: redesign website, create a convenient purchasing virtual environment
+ Meet customer’s changing needs
+ Satisfy customer’s experience
- Business in the long term: adapt easily to unprecedented events
Now we turn to another issue of what business should do to prepare for the post
pandemic which they should invest in digital transformation. Let me explain why
this matters. As we’ve probably known, shopping online and the model of
working from home become the new norms for consumers and businesses to rely
on and go through to survive. Brands with a strong online presence and a
powerful ecommerce infrastructure have also experienced flourishing revenue
growth. Those companies that didn't prioritize the development of their online
channels, and offered limited shopping options, as a result, lost billions of dollars
and failed to retain their customers.
And I suppose organizations will continually invest in technology to ensure their
employees will work in the office or partly from home, like what foreign
companies do, in a safe and secure way. Although many will enjoy the gathering
space when they get back to work on the office, there are still many reasons that
others will choose to work remotely since they can have a better work – life
balance and the business owners find out that they can cut down on the size of the
office to minimize cost. Whatever options they choose, the value added when it
comes to growing digital business is significantly beneficial. By using the AI
technology, upgrading the internal network, connectivity and cyber security
which help them protect from malware and cyber attack while work virtually.
Beside that, their workflow will be more effectient as they can take immediate
response from others when they are not in the same physical office.
Secondly, it is expected for company that they redesign their website or create a
more convenient virtual environment due to their customer are more and more
well defined about the product and expectation. This brings to the second benefit
of digitalization that I want to give is that business will increase the potential
customer base because customers may experience a smoother online purchasing
And last but not least, as long as they invest wisely on digital system, they tend to
adapt so easily, change more efficiently and survive through the unprecedented
events that may happen in the future such as another pandemic thanks to the
lesson learnt from the Covid.
