Stage 1
Decide what book you are going to
write about. Here are some suggestions.
a book originally written in your
language that you would like to
recommend to an English reader
a book that young people should
read
a book that has influenced your life
a book that can teach the reader
important information
Think about the book's strong and weak
points. Is it educational, entertaining,
motivating? Is it sometimes slow or
difficult to understand?
Stage 2
Use the headings in Exercise 1 on
page 22 to make notes about the book.
Stage 3
Write your review in four paragraphs,
like the text about Billy Liar.
Stage 4
Check your review for mistakes.
