The possible benefits of a Multicultural Curriculum are the following:
 It develops multiple historical perspectives
 It strengthens cultural consciousness
 It strengthens intercultural competence
 It combats racism, sexism, and other forms of prejudice and discrimination
 It increases awareness of the state of the planet and global dynamic
 It builds social action skills

4. What Indigenous knowledge can be integrated in The Curriculum? Cite Examples of


Indigenous curriculum in the Philippines?

The indigenous knowledge that can be integrated in the curriculum are;


 Using local language
 the use of mother tongue in the elementary students from k to grade 3
and the local langue serves as an auxiliary language in grade 4 up to
secondary education
 Integrating content and activities that reflect the learners’ culture , history,
traditions, and indigenous knowledge in the curriculum.
 Using role playing of the different stories and historical deeds of our
heroes, like Noli Mitangere role playing and el felibuterismo.

The ICT integration in education helps to address educational issues on quality and
access in terms of providing new and credible resources use as a teaching material in
the classroom, because we all know that not all school in our country has a new and
updated books, those schools from a far flung area are trying their best to get the
updated information with the use of the technology. In this sense they could provide the
quality of education because of the accessibility of the correct information in just a short
period of time. ICT deals with the alternatives in providing information to the citizens.

Benefits of implementing an outcome bases curriculum
Are;
 It emphasized student mastery
 It has clear and it focus on the learning outcomes
 It has clear competencies and standard should be clearly articulated
 It makes the students productive and creative as well as the teacher
 It expands the opportunities of the students
 It gives a high expectation of all the students
 It is need driven
 It is outcome driven
 It has a design down approach
 It specifies outcomes and level of outcomes
 The focus shifts from teaching to learning
