Thinking of what comic you want, what is its genre, what type of comic you want to draw, most
importantly is it should catch the readers eyes even it’s just the drawing and the title of the comic.

can draw, Photoshop and Illustrator are common things that will cross your mind, and some for those

it is okay, changing and adding some difference will help you improve.

3. HOW TO WRITE A WEBCOMIC

= Create a compelling concept

- For many Webcomic, this means having a good plot. A plot isn't required for your webcomic,
but having one will help you come up with ideas and stay motivated.
- Remember the most common piece of writing advice: write about what you know. This does
not imply that you should only write about your own life or create realistic fiction-style stories. It
simply means that you will usually write best when you write about general experiences and
emotions that you are familiar with.
= Create your characters
- Create some main and secondary characters if your cartoon is regular. Draw them a character
sheet that will surely keep their look in line. Write down a "cheat" book of the history,
personality, defects and other details of their character.
- Remember that characters who are more flawed will give you more to work with as a writer
and develop over time. Balance is essential, but you must allow for some wiggle room.
= Draw up a couple of test comics.
- Create at least three test comics. They should include all of your main characters and be in the
style of your webcomic. If this isn't how all of the comics will be done, don't make it too quick
and sloppy, or too careful and precise.
- The aim of this exercise is for you to get a sense of how long it takes you to create a comic
and how you can speed up the process. You can decide that a simpler design, less coloring, or
other changes are needed.
= Get some feedback.
- Show them to review with your friends. If you do not think your friends are a trustworthy
source, try to find a chat room to send them. You will want to understand what your comics are
good and what you have to do to improve. Request a lot of detailed feedback, not a "I like it!" or
"It's funny!"
- Don't worry about listening to everything everyone says. You want to address the most
common complaints.
- Is your main character disliked by the public? Are your jokes amusing? Is your drawing style a
little sloppy? Before you finish your final comics, work on things like this.
= Decide on an update schedule.
- You should create a regular schedule that you can update and then stick to it. This is done so
that your readers will know when to expect a new strip.
- An irregular publishing schedule is a good way to lose readers and turn off new ones. Working
on your comic as a habit will help you overcome laziness and procrastination, so an update
schedule will help motivate you to work on it.
