Reflection on Code of Ethics

As future educators, the code of ethics is considered as a guide or a bible as teachers to know
what are the things that you should do or what are the basic principles of being a noble teacher. The
code of ethics composed of different kinds of article or section. Someday, it is us teachers will make a
difference by changing our self to be one of the noble professional teachers inside the classroom. The
code tells us about having a dignity, reputation, competent, and high moral values. These four important
things are the key to be able to become a noble teacher and this also serves as to observe and practice
ethical and moral values. The code also involves not just by the teacher and also in school and it covers
all private and public-school teachers from pre-school teacher until vocational formal or non-formal.

The code of ethics talks about the relationship between the teacher and the state. The teacher
should be a trustee of the cultural and educational heritage of the nation, meaning the teacher should
promote national pride, culture love and allegiance and swore to the Philippine Constitution and respect
of what are the constitution stated especially obeying the law of the state. The teacher should also be a
part of the community because the teacher is not just for facilitating students but give the services by
providing an environment conductive such as learning and growth. He/she shall provide leadership and
initiative actively participate in community movements for moral, social, educational, economic, and
civic betterment. The teacher will remind himself that teaching is the noblest profession and he or she
will provide the best quality of education and be at his best at all times in practicing of his profession.
The teacher also shall be imbued with the spirit of professional loyalty and faith in one another. He shall
make an honest effort to understand and support the legitimate policies of the school and the
administration. The teacher also determines the academic marks and promotion of learners in the
subjects to handle. The teacher will make a bridge between him and the parents of the students
regarding for proper guidance of their son and daughter in the school. The teacher also shall remain a
good reputation with respect regarding to financial matters such as settlement of debts and loans. Self-
respect, self-discipline should be one of the examples that a teacher should know and lastly, teachers
should be aware of the code of ethics in order that he or she will not violate any rules on the law and
the teacher should avoid of being put in disciplinary action.

The importance of this code of ethics is not only for the teachers and also the rights of the
students if there any misconduct that a teacher has been committed, the code of ethics will be a guide
for both parties and there is a due process also that should be followed. The code of
ethics outlines teachers' primary responsibilities to their students and defines their role in a student's
life. Educators must demonstrate impartiality, integrity, and ethical behavior in the classroom, whether
virtual or in-person, and in their conduct with parents and coworkers.
