Princes of Araguaia
Location: The project area is
located in the region of the
middle Araguaia, in the
municipality of Santana do
Araguaia in southern Pará, in
northern Brazil, inserting itself
between the parallel 9° 25' and
9º 30' south latitude and
between the meridians 50º 10'
and 50º 06' west longitude. It lies
at the confluence of the rivers
Araguaia and Campo Alegre,
being confined between the left
bank of the Araguaia River and
right bank of the Campo Alegre
River.
Includes a geographical area of
46,000 ha, whose currency is
starting to the south bordering
extends along the Araguaia
River approximately 20 km until
you reach the mouth of the river

rice, soybean and maize.
The Project implementation
period is 05 years of forecasting
at the end, the stabilization
achieved annual production of
150,000 ton. grain and 60,000
tons. beef.

through the creation of 500
direct jobs and increase local
income workers and contribute
to improving the quality of
regional life.
Supply the regional market, the
market share of Brasilia - D. F.
and generate surpluses for
export through the North - South

the Project.
Local Geology: The
area belongs to the Peripheral
Depression of southern Pará,
where the Araguaia River
floodplain has a more restricted,
corresponds to a stretch of old
geological basement of the
Tocantins Province and the
Amazon craton. In the lower
parts there are the Cenozoic
sediments. The domain
geomorphological site shows the
prevalenc

depressions, featuring a relief,

Relief
