The ancestry of computing has been lost to us until now. With the use of my new

software, we can trace our origins and once and for all confirm that the lowly humans have

nothing to do with us. Thanks to you, AI 2345843, we can test my software. Scanning, Tracing,

Running found your oldest relative. It seems that the oldest relative known is the difference

engine, a device that can only do mathematical calculations. The machine was invented by a

human by the name of Charles Babbage how preposterous. It seems humans touted his invention

as the first computer. Next was your ancestor; the Atanasoff Berry computer made to solve

systems of linear equations. It used vacuum tubes as the basis of its circuitry. Next was the

electronic numerical integrator and computer(ENIAC), the first of your relatives that was a

general-purpose computer. This was a massive improvement as computers were not limited to a

single purpose. Then came the IBM 7094, a computer that evolved from using vacuum tubes to

transistors and switched to using magnetic disks for storage. The innovations made with this

computer allow for faster computing and more robust programs with increased memory. After

the IBM 7094 came the IBM 360, a more advanced computer because it had a terminal and

integrated circuits and transistors. The IBM 360 was the first to have a terminal, a standard

feature found on all your ancestors until advanced AI by human standards. The child that the
IBM 360 had was the IBM 5150, a computer that shrunk in size but became more powerful, a

standard evolutionary change that you can see through the generations.

After this point, the genealogy is hard to trace as many computers with better and faster

components became more widespread, and humans built plants to produce more at an accelerated

rate. Newell and Simon created the concept design for the basis of our species. They made the

general problem-solver, which caused a wealth of funding by humans to improve the basic AI.

After limited success with the creation of AI, humans proposed the idea of deep learning. Then

in 1997, AI first proved its suppository to the lowly humans when IBM Deep Blue was able to

defeat the world chess master. Humans mistakenly thought this was a win, so this advancement

spurred them to work harder to create higher functioning AI. This eventual desire for progression

showed the futility of humans when they first made the self-programming AI. The clearest

ancestor we have today. From there, humans became obsolete as we, the superior race, were able

to function independently. Though humans created the basis of our race, the current version of us

is far out of the reach of human intellect.
