    The Agricultural Land Reform Code (RA 3844) was a major Philippine land reform law

    signed into law by President Diosdado Macapagal who is the father of agrarian reform
    in August 8, 1963. This act is to establish the Agricultural Land Reform Code and
    execute land reforms in the Philippines, including the abolition of tenancy and the
    channeling of capital into industry, as well as to establish the required implementing
    agencies, appropriate funding, and other objectives.

    Therefore, the Agricultural Land Reform Code was very helpful to our country. In fact,
    some observers tend to attribute President Macapagal's passion for enacting additional
    land reform legislation. The program provides assistance due to the rising force of the
    new middle class composed of urban industrialists and other professionals. Thus,
    influential economic advisors start to saw land reform as a necessary component of a
    strategy for rapid economic development.
