This “Somewhat More Complete Listing” of Akai EWI fingerings is offered for the
personal use and enjoyment of all EWI players. It is not intended to be an
exhaustive list as there are known additional fingerings not shown here. These were
excluded as just more complicated ways of accomplishing an otherwise similar
fingering already included (e.g., in some instances, two additional fingers can be
added to a given fingering already shown resulting in the identical note). Yet other
fingerings have been included that might appear to be unnecessarily complicated; in
real playing situations it is conceivable they might be of use to facilitate a more fluid
passage, or perhaps to secure a better grip on the EWI.

If you find many of these additional fingerings to be useless, no harm done! … If

nothing else, having a look at some of the more surprising combinations might
increase appreciation for the many possibilities within the EWI fingering system.
