About AIESEC in UPM

 MIRACLE!
Since 2004

WHAT IS HAPPENING?
According to statistics that were recently revealed by the
National Ministry of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local
Government in 2019. "Malaysians produce an average of 38,000
tons of waste every day and only 5 percent of it is recycled.” It is
shown that waste are being produced over the limits and the
problem keep increasing every years due to:

1. Poor attitude and lack of awareness about waste

management 2. Littering issue in community
3. Consumes a lot that is not needed

 Since 2004

MIRACLE PROJECT

MIRACLE is a project initiated by AIESEC UPM, Selangor, Malaysia in

2004 which address Sustainable Development Goals 12 - Responsible
Consumption and Production among youths.
The project provides a platform for local virtual volunteers to facilitate
students about environmental issues and initiate actions from students to
be carried out.

PROJECT OBJECTIVE
(1) To empower Malaysian high school students to involve
and take action towards plastic waste and zero waste
awareness and management 

(2) To actively involved youth & community in increasing

awareness towards plastic waste and solving plastic waste
issue 

(3) To take action and cultivate attitude and behaviour of

'5Rs & zero waste concept' in youth and community
lifestyle

To provide students knowledge

have practical learnings on plastic
waste management
Students able to utilise and

workshop and activities with us by video recording (to
ensure students able to gain learnings and increase
awareness on plastic issue)
Professional in plastic waste management is
invited to be the keynote speaker. Students are
encouraged to join the webinar to gain
extra knowledge on plastic waste
management.

Money gained from fundraising is to help underprivileged secondary school students

by providing them zero waste products.

Workshops?
Creating Impact towards Environmental Issues
- You will be joining a group of ambitious youths to tackle the plastic waste
issues

Develop New Knowledges and Skills

- You will be going to get the knowledge of plastic waste management,zero
waste
concept, making zero waste products in this journey.
- English speaking skills, presentation skills and etc.

State-level certificate (Can add in your koko marks)

- State-level e-certificate will be provided to students after attending of all the
compulsory sessions throughout these 3 weeks.
- Extra e-certificate and mystery prizes will be given to the proactive
participants.

Have Fun and and a fulfilling journeys

- A series of exciting activities will be conducted by virtual volunteers with you all.
