As a student of master’s in business administration and as a woman who has an ambition

of becoming an entrepreneur, it is vital for me to know where should I source the fund that I need
for my business. In raising capital for entrepreneurial path report that was discussed by Mark
Jacob, I was enlightened that my vision may come true.

Since I started working, I have been thinking and planning tons of business concept
because I want to work hard for my own company. However, my plans were always not feasible
because every time I encountered a problem on funding. There is an instance wherein all I need
is fund to start my business because I already have the supplier, design, marketing plan, accounts
that we will use but when the time came that I have to order the materials my partner and I found
out that our fund is not enough to order the materials that we need. In the end we decided to
discontinue the plan. This scenario keeps on happening every time we think of a new business
plan, it always end with the problem that our fund is not enough. We tried inviting our friends to
join and help us fund our business plan, however, they are also not capable of supporting us
because they have other priorities. I was enlightened that there are other sources of capital aside
from my friends and myself. There are also crowdfunding, supplier and trade credit, private
investor, venture capital, private equity placement and share offerings, locating venture
capitalist, and government grant programs [ CITATION Rob17 \l 1033 ] . Out of all options in
looking for capital source, angels or private investor is more applicable to my business concepts.
Growing up in a not so wealthy family drove me to become an entrepreneur and learning
about raising of capital for entrepreneurial path is important to achieve my dream. I always think
that thinking of feasible business concept is hard, but looking for a source of capital is harder.
However as John Maxwell said “Dreams don’t work, unless you do it”.
