Confidentiality Obligations
Protection from information disclosure, mishandling and loss

• To be onboarded at Qualcomm as a consultant, you and/or your company have


signed binding confidentiality obligations to protect CCI. This may be in a
separate nondisclosure agreement or in the services agreement between a
Qualcomm company and you or your employer.
• Failure to comply with the confidentiality obligations may result in loss of contract,
legal action or a reference to law enforcement for criminal prosecution.

Qualcomm monitors its network traffic for CCI mishandling and


removal. Do not expect privacy when accessing Qualcomm’s data,
network or systems.

You can ONLY share Qualcomm CCI with people who have a legal
obligation* to keep it confidential AND a need to know for performing
legitimate Qualcomm work.

Proper Handling of Qualcomm CCI
Unless otherwise permitted by Qualcomm:
• Use Qualcomm CCI for Qualcomm authorized work ONLY.
• Only use Qualcomm-supported applications, Qualcomm-managed repositories and Qualcomm email to
collaborate and store CCI (Example: Qualcomm’s OneDrive for Business or SharePoint, Qualcomm email).
• If you are unsure how to properly share or move CCI off Qualcomm systems, speak with your Qualcomm
sponsor or contact Qualcomm’s OneIT Service Desk before sharing or moving CCI.
• Keep conversations about Qualcomm work private, so that those who don’t need to know don’t hear.
• Only use QGuest, pixel-only VPN or a Qualcomm-managed device to connect to Qualcomm’s network.

Unless otherwise specified in your or your company’s agreement with


Qualcomm, you are not free to treat work created for Qualcomm or the
CCI you access at Qualcomm as your personal property or as the
property of your company. 5
Qualcomm CCI Prohibitions
Unless otherwise permitted by Qualcomm:

• Don’t send Qualcomm CCI to your personal email account—such as Gmail,


YahooMail! or 163.com—or to the accounts of unauthorized associates.
• Don’t transfer or back up Qualcomm CCI to non-Qualcomm managed
accounts—such as Dropbox, OneDrive Personal, Box, or Google Drive personal
cloud storage.
• Don’t use personal chat apps—such as WeChat, WhatsApp, Line, and
KakaoTALK—for Qualcomm business.
• Don’t post about Qualcomm CCI on social media or anywhere else.
• Don’t send Qualcomm CCI to your employer’s accounts without Qualcomm
authorization.
• Don’t physically connect a non-Qualcomm-managed device via network jack to
Qualcomm’s Network.
