Group Magic:
Group magic often has to be more mundane the more the caster’s methods differ. This is not just to
prevent paradox, but to prevent confusion of elements. To say the same thing in many languages
creates a cacophany. There are a few ways to do this:
• each person take a role: in making an egregore the prime mage makes the thoughtform, the
spirit mage places the thoughtform within the umbra, the mind mage places the thoughtform
within the minds of the community
Another example, if the chantry is warding their coventry, the time mage seals off the space
from time, the correspondence mage prevents teleportation, the matter mage makes it more
physically inpenetrable and so on
• Agree on a coherent method: We are all going to give life to the creature in the tank.
• Use a gesture or dance
• One lead, many follow
