Qualifications for Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) & Post Graduate Part Time Teachers (PGT-
P1T):

Age limit: 40 years, No age bar in the case of employees of AMU Schools. Age relaxation as applicable under
the Govt. of India rules.

Educational Qualifications:
1. Two years' Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc. Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the
concerned subject;
OR
Master Degree from a recognized University with at least 50'/'o marks in aggregate in the following
subjects;
(a) PGT/ PG-PTT (Mathematics) - Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics
(b) PGT/PG-PTT (Physics) - Physics / Electronics / Applied Physics / Nuclear Physics
(c) PGT/ PG-PTT (Chemistry) - Chemistry / Bio Chemistry
(d) PGT/PG-PTT (English) - English/ English language Teaching (El,T)
(e) PGT/PG-PTT (Hindi) - Hindi or Sanskrit with Hindi as one of the subjects at Graduate level.
(f) PGT/PG-PTT (Urdu) - Urdu
(g) PGT/PG-PTT (Commerce) - Master's Degree in Commerce. However, holder of Degrees of
M.Com in Applied/Business Economics shall not be eligible
(h) PGT/PG-PTT (Btology) - Botany/ Zoology/ Life Sciences/ Bio Sciences/ Genetics/ Micro
Biology/ Bio Technology/ Molecular Bio/ Plant Physiology provided they have
studied Botany and Zoology at Graduation level.

A permanent teacher working in any AMU managed School not having B.Ed. or equivalent Degree from
recognized University may be considered for the post. Such a candidate if selected has to complete B.Ed.
degree within three years from the date of selection / joining.
3. Proficiency in teaching in English, Hindi and Urdu medium.
4. For the purpose of promotion of eligible TGTs in AMU Schools having at least three years of regular
service as TGT with Master's Degree in that subject/combination.
Note:
1. Candidates having special B.Ed. are not eligible for the post.
Desirable:
1. Working knowledge of computer application.
2. Knowledgeof Braille in case of Ahmadi School for Visually Challenged.

A. Qualifications for Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) & Post Graduate Part Time Teacher PGT-PTT
(Computer) :

the Govt. of India rules.

Educational Qualification:
At-least 50'/'o marks in aggregate in any of the following:
1. B.E. or B.Tech. (Computer Science/IT) from a recognized University or equivalent Degree or Diploma from

Age Limit: 35 years. No upper age bar in the case of employees of the AMU Schools. Age relaxation as
applicable under the Govt. of India rules.

Educational Qualification:
1. Four years' Integrated Degree Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject
with atleast 50'Yo marks in aggregate.
OR
Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject or combination of subject and in
aggregate. The elective subjects and languagesin the combination of subjects are as follows;

(a) TGTI TG-PTT (Mathematics) - Bachelor Degree in Maths with any two of the following
subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science,
Statistics, Geology and Geography.
(b) TGTI TG-PTT (Chemistry) - Designated as TGT (Science)
(c) TGTITG-PTT (English) - English as a subject in all the three years
(d) TGT/TG-PTT (Hindi) - Hindi as a subject in all the three years
(e) TGTITG-PTT (Urdu) - Urdu as a subject in all the three years
(f) TGT/TG-PTT (Muslim Theology) - Bachelor Degree in Theology (Sunni/Shia)
(g) TGTITG-PTT (Persian) - Persian as a subject in all the three years
(h) TGT/TG-PTT (Science) - Physics, Botany, Zoology and Chemistry
(i) TGT/TG-PTT (Life Science) - Designated as TGT (Science)
(j) TGTITG-PTT (Social Science) - Any two of the following:
History, Geography, Economics and Political Science of which one
must be either History or Geography.
(k)TGT/TG-PTT (Home Science) - Bachelor Degree in Home Sc. Or Home Sc. In all the
three years.

2. Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), conducted by CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines
framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
OR
Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by various states such as UPTET.
OR
B.Ed. degree or equivalent from a recognized University.
3. Proficiency in teaching in English, Hindi and Urdu languages.

Desirable:
1. Working knowledge of computer application.

c. Qualifications for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) (GEOGRAPHY):

Age Limit: 35 years. No upper age bar in the case of employees of the AMU Schools. Age relaxation as
applicable under the Govt. of India rules.
Educational Qualification:
Four years' Integrated Degree Course of RegionalCollegeof Education of NCERTin the concerned subject
with at least 5010marks in aggregate.

OR
Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject or combination of subject and in
aggregate. The elective subjects and languagesin the combinationof subjects are as follows;

TGT (Geography): Geography as a subject in all three years.

Pass in the Central Teacher EligibilityTest (CTET),conducted by CBSEin accordance with the Guidelines

OR

(COMPUTER):

under the Govt. of India rules.

Educational Qualification:
At-least 5010 marks in aggregate in any of the following:
1. B.E.or B.Tech. (Computer Science/IT) from a recognized University or equivalent Degree or Diplomafrom
an Institution/ University recognized by the Govt. of India.
OR
B.E.or B.Tech. (any stream) and Post Graduate Diplomain Computers from recognized University.
OR
B.Sc. (Computer Science)/ BCA or Equivalent and Post Graduate degree in subject from a recognized
University.
OR
Post Graduate Diplomain Computer and Post Graduate degree in any subject from recognized University.
OR
'B' Level from DOEACCand Graduate degree in any subject.

2. Proficiency in teaching in Hindi, Urdu and English.

E. Qualifications for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) & Trained Graduate Part Time Teacher TGT-PTT
(PHE):

(AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES):

Age Limit: 35 years. No upper age bar in the case of employees of the AMU Schools. Age relaxation as
applicable under the Govt. of India rules.

Educational Qualification:
Essential:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural or equivalent from a recognized University with atleast 50'Yo marks.
2. B.Ed. Degree or equivalent from a recognized University.
3. Proficiency in teaching in English Hindi and Urdu languages.

Desirable:
1. Post Graduate degree with atleast 50'Yo marks
2. Working knowledge of computer application.

G. Qualifications for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) & Trained Graduate Part Time Teacher TGT -PTT
(ART EDUCATION):

Age Limit: 35 years. No upper age bar in the case of employees of the AMU Schools. Age relaxation as
applicable under the Govt. of India rules.

Educational Qualification:
1. Five years recognized Diploma in drawing and Painting / Sculpture / Graphic Art.
OR
Equivalent recognized degree
OR
BFA
2. Proficiency in teaching in English Hindi and Urdu languages.

Desirable:
1. Working knowledge of computer application.

H. Qualifications for Primary Teacher (PRT) & Primary Part Time Teacher PRT-PTT:

Age Limit: Upper age limit 30 years and no age bar in the case of working employees of the University
Schools. Age relaxation as applicable under the Govt. of India rules.

Educational Qualifications:
Essential:
1. Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent.
2. Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the CBSE in accordance with the
Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
OR
Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by various states such as UPTET.
OR
B.Ed. or BTC or equivalent degree from the recognized University.

3. Competence to teach through Hindi, Urdu, English media.

Desirable:
1. Knowledgeof Computer Applications.
2. Knowledgeof Braille in case of Ahmadi School for Visually Challenged~
AGE RELAXATION AS PER KVS NORMS 6
Relaxation of upper Age limit will be as under:
No upper age bar in case of employees of AMU.
Upto a maximum of 5 Years in case of SC/ST candidate.
Upto a maximum of 3 Years in case of OBC candidate.
Upto a maximum of 5 Years for persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of J& K during 01.01.80 to 31.12.89.
Upto a maximumof 5 Years in case of Govt. Servant.
Upto a maximum of 10 Years in case of SC/ST candidate 08 Years in case of OBC candidates serving as
GOVT employees in accordance with the Govt. of India Instructions. An applicant claiming age relaxation
under this para should produce a certificate from his/her employer to the effect that he/she is a Govt.
servant as on the date of advertisement.
Upto a maximumof 10 Years in the case of persons with disability categories.
Upto a maximumof 10 Years for women candidate including SC/ST/OBC candidate.
Age relaxation for Ex Serviceman will be given as per Govt. of India rules.

Persons downloading the prescribed application form (Local) from www.amuregistrar.com are required to
send a Cash Receipt of Rs. 500/- (non-refundable) issued by the State Bank of India, AMU Branch under the
head "Employment Fee" in the Account No. 10612179068 OR Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- payable to Finance
Officer, AMU Aligarh at State Bank of India, AMU Branch (Code No. 5555) Aligarh, along with the duly filled
employment form complete in all respect.
Persons enclosing an authentic disability certificate with the application form in support of their Claim of
Disability are exempted from payment of prescribed application fee.
Considering the fact that the gathering in the Bank to deposit the cash for employment form may also
evade the social distancing norms prescribed by Government of India, the University has decided to provide an
alternative solution in addition to the existing procedure of Demand Draft/Cash Receipt to deposit the
employment fee through on-line mode via net-banking or QR Code.
The procedure is as under:
A. The job seeker may deposit the Employment Fee through Net-Banking/QR Code directly into the Bank

B. The applicant will mention compulsorily the Transaction Details on the first page of Application Form in
Columns of "Particulars of Payment of Application Fee". He/She should enclose the printout of the
transaction Details and a duly filled proforma (enclosed with Advt.) along with Application Form. The
applicant have to make separate transaction for each and every post.
Persons already in service should send their applications through proper channel otherwise their
applications will not be entertained. Please enclose self-attested copies of testimonials, degrees and mark sheets
in support of marks obtained. Incomplete applications and those received after the due date will not be
entertained.
