Good morning ladies and gentleman. Im here to speak about violence.

Violence is
one of the most problematic issues society face today, and it has been increasing
day after day, in the streets of our cities. Violence on TV, in the movies, in video
games, and in music seems to be on the rise everywhere. We see this in the
newspapers, on the television, and all over the internet. The effects of violence on
young people are generally bad. It is an undeniable fact that violence only leads to
more violence. This means that if some person exposed to violence in the movies,
video games and music there is a probability that they will be aggressive and
involved in severe crimes in the future. Adding on, exposure to violence could harm
the emotional and mental development of young people. Young people at that age
aren’t able to effectively process what they are seeing and hearing. This may be due
in part to the fact that chronic exposure to violence can affect parts of their brain.
Hundreds of studies of the effects of TV violence on young people have found that
children may begin to accept violence as a way to solve problems. They may imitate
the violence they observe on Television and behave in aggressive or harmful ways
toward others. In this critical situation school have an important role to play.
Teachers are the first to recognize their students when they are struggling with
mental health and behavioral issues and they could be the best providers of mental
health first aid whenever they need. It is important that teachers or management
continue to discuss this with students and help them express their emotions and
viewpoints. Most of all, young people need to feel they are safe, that we care for
them and that they are not alone in dealing with these horrible acts of violence. Other
than this, School should Hire more counselors and school resource officers. Due to
budget cuts, many schools have few or no trained school counsellors. This is
because I believe a well trained caunselor can save lives of young people. Besides
that, Schools should also take steps to educate violence to let them know how
serious their problems can become. Yearly campaigns are organised in schools to
educate and let them know how violent behaviour can ruin lives. The only way we
can stop violence is by working together against the Violence on TV, in the movies,
in video games, and in music. Violence is one of the world's issues, and everyone's
support will help us destroy violence and live in peaceful community.

Thank you.
